Hey folks. I'm going unavailble for up to a month, though I hope it will be less than that. After nearly six months since I put in an offer on a property, I am finally moving.

If I was to write down all the ins and outs, all the trials and tribulations we went through, you just would not believe me. In a novel, the suspension of disbelief would fail fairly quickly and people would put it down shaking their heads and say 'couldn't happen'. Well it did.

Maybe I should write it as a farce. Just not right now. Too stressed.

Removals men coming in tomorrow (Tuesday) to pack. Van loading and driving to new property on Wednesday. Unloading on Thursday, Hmm. My house isn't that big, and we're only moving 130 miles. Yet more to add to the farce???

Have fun people. (And don't, whatever you do, move house!!!)

Posting chapter 9 a little earlier than planned. I'm expecting to be moving house next week and if it all goes as we hope, I may not have net access for about two weeks afterwards.

Hopefully I'll find out tommorrow. This will be the third attempt to exchange contracts, so we'll just have to see.

Sorry folks, I intended to post this chapter last week, but work and family commitments got in the way.

Next chapter should be in two or three weeks time.

One of the bigger chjapters, and you get to meet yet another set of characters. Not quite the last lot, but close enough.

Chapters 5 & 6 of Maquis are relatively short, though they are important. Chapter 6 is going up now, with (hopefully) the much longer chapter 7 coming about this time next month.
