In the process of going back through this series, I've hugely expanded it. The short novella length stories are now full blown novels, but the fourth book, which originally spanned 4 years, has now become 7 novels all on its own. Book 4 is back up on BookApy.com, and book 5 will be joining it soon as well.
You should soon see AWACS disappear from SOL as I'm going to give Amazon Kindle Unlimited a try. I've edited that book again as well, tightening it up nicely.
John the Genius books 4-10 should be rolling out on bookapy for the next few months. My back has been killing me, so I've just been sitting in the only comfortable chair in the house with the laptop on my lap, writing away. 2-4k words a day for a couple months. Once I get to where I'm happy with the rewrites so far, I promise to switch back to Open Hand, Sam's adventure book 2 and get it finished. It should be a fun one.

John the Genius Book 3 Public Eye has been updated! The same effort to hunt down those missed typos from the 'professional edit' generated more text. it nearly doubled in size again as I dug into the real world mechanics of the Colorado Chess Championship, the Euro Motors event correcting a plot defect there and then doing the same for Heartland and TWP media. The original book was 23k words, the first update and expansion was 49k, the hopefully final was 93k.

I was going thru book 1 and discovered missed typos. Then I discovered a bunch more in book 2 and three. I think it got passed thru an automated editing system, cause they were pretty weird typos.
So I updated the books. Of course I couldn't help editing and adding more stuff, so each of book 1 and 2 now have another few thousand words, and some simplified explanations. It's gotten even better, which is amazing cause I was so happy with how much I had already added. Both are now in the 45k word range, compared to the original 20 & 25k range.
I'm now working on book 3. Book 4 will be next.
Many readers thought book 5, interviews and interventions was the weakest. Updating that was a huge project. There many short paragraphs have become multiple chapters. It's so big now that I'm splitting the book into two volumes. Still working on names. I'm thinking bodhivista and media war. The Dali lama scene is hugely expanded after the Kobe quake, and the iriian jaya events along with the Pacific economic zone are much more detailed and larger events now.
Anyway, if you bought the books, the updated versions are there for another download and read.

Omniscient Book 4 is a huge expansion. The original was 25,000 words, this rewritten version is over 68,000!
I put a lot of work into it, and then got professional editing help, and wow, what a difference.
I'm also loving the work I did on the covers. That initial book cover is based on a childhood photo of me, digitally aged and altered. All the other photos afterwards are similarly aged and dressed based off that initial picture. Really cool tech, so special thanks to Google for making that available.
So book 4 is up, same price as the others $2.99! Go and enjoy!

Book 3 of John the genius was quite the fun book, when it came to expanding the content, it went from around 28k words to just under 50k, nearly double. And I almost expanded it further, but couldn't get the scene with George Lucas quite right. Kept wanting to complain about how ugly his beard was, but since he had no chin it was good he had it! I think too much post episode 1 hate kept coming thru even after all these years.

As mentioned before, this has been a long running project, and will hopefully keep chugging away as I get the various parts back from the editor.
The ultimate goal is a massive combined omnibus edition of omniscient.
