My new erotica historical fiction series, The Compound, about a group of hedonistic nudist preppers (survivalists) building their bug out cabins in Wisconsin, has posted. It’s told in the 1st person POV and starts around the time of the first experiments called gain-of-function started, that led to the 2020 pandemic.

This idea came to me after reading a story about high level US government officials who had bugout or retreat cabins deep in the mountains all over the US. So, in this story we have a group of people, many with important jobs in the government and others who don’t, who come together in the summer months to spend time together, prepare, socialize, and practice Shoshone and Viking marriage and sleeping traditions, things happen like parties, and outdoor showers, including a little spying.

This is not a daily journal of their life, the scenes progress rapidly as this is meant to fall into the short to medium-sized story category. As my editor said when I shared my idea my stores will skip like a stone across the water, in this case the pre covid timeline of events leading to 2020 and there is one, its damming and that’s the historical part. I have created some fun, sexy, interesting adult and teenage characters, I hope. The chapters are short, as is the whole first instalment at 30,000 words. It should be read fast.

I had fun writing it. It was a good break from The Home Nudity Experiment.

Again, we have 10,000 words divided into 7 scenes in Chapter 26. Roughly 1400 words each, some longer, some shorter. The Chapter reads faster. After 3 heavy chapters. This chapter transitions and picks up all the story threads in a fun way. From Bob in Iraq with Colleen, JoAnn and father-in-law Jim at home, Hannah planning the summer dig, Drama in Pastor Scotts household, Taboo things happen in 1945 among cousins, and the Nelsons make some important decisions about the lifestyle.

The aim is to have fun. I do my best to ground the storylines in historically accurate details. I let the characters and plot drive the story. I do have goals, but I surprise myself at times. I do make choices to show less in one area so I can show more in another that I think is more important or fun.

For the cold war history nerds. I introduced a character at the start of Chp 23, Captain Weber, US Army. A German speaking Counterintelligence Corps Agent tracking Nazis, after fighting across Europe with the infantry. He looks up his German relatives, stuff happens. He is a distant relative to one of the main characters, not giving too much away. I am fascinated by this period 1945-47 at the end of WW II. He will continue to show up and he does so again in Chp 26.

I recognize the story has gone a couple of different directions with Stargate fanfiction scenes and recent WW2 episodes. The point here is to have fun. I could have ended the story already, but it may not have been as satisfying to me or perhaps you the reader. This is not a stroke story. There is an ending, and we will get there by the late summer of 2006, in the timeline, 3 more months.

UPDATE: Chapter 26 will post on 9/11 in the evening.
As I finished chapter 24, it was 14,000 words and 30 pages. With 4 story lines to weave together and the detailed WW II plot, I wrote a lot. I also did a lot of reading, researching the history of the period. I cut chapter 24 in two. So, a double post, Chapter 24 and Chapter 25 have posted, completing the arc started in Chapter 23. Also an update to the cast list.

The three chapter arc takes place at The Pines Family (nudist) Resort. Kristy is reading her great grandma’s taboo WW II diary entries from when she was a young woman in Germany. At the same time the Wilkins, Millers and now the Nelsons enjoy the unique nudist experience in North Georgia. Buffy becomes closer with Ben and takes part in resort activities.

Flashing back to the end of WW II, US Army Captain Marcus Weber (Donna’s father) gets closer with the German side of his family learning their taboo secrets, even as he chases down Nazis.

Hannah finally gets to have the talk she’s been waiting for regarding all the things that have happened to her since finding Ishtar’s temple in Iraq. While in South Africa, Kevin learns more about his grandpa’s secret family and his ‘cousin’ Carina as the hunting trip wraps up. Bob in Iraq comforts nurse Colleen.

So, a lot of territory in two chapters. I did a lot reading, from Women’s roles in Nazi Germany, Army Counterintelligence in postwar Germany, Operation Paperclip, 3rd Infantry official history, Masters of the Air book, and To Hell and Back about Audie Murphy. I used AI for research assistance and proofing before I got to my editor Steve, who did the human work, no replacing that.

Chapter 23 is up. Basically, the action pivots around a girl’s trip to a family nudist resort in Georgia during Easter week. JoAnn gathers up the girls and with Donna driving the RV head to the nudist resort. I dig into Donna’s interesting family tree. The Millers and others join for a few days. Also updates from Bob in Iraq and Kevin and Grandpa Jim on safari in South Africa, a secret revealed. The action starts with a scene at the end of WW II in Germany then moves to 2006. At the core is Kristy’s story as she reads the diary of a young German girl, where she confesses all sort of things, as she deals with her own conflicting emotions.

This is meant to be a two chapter mini arc with 23 setting up further spicy fun and drama in 24.

I used AI tools to speed up the research and editing process. But still, I did all the writing, and my editor Steve was on it, we edited as I finished scenes, speeding up the process. No real danger yet that AI will replace story tellers as it lacks the creative spark and the levels of ‘ethical censorship’ is still a hinderance to creativity.

Enjoy. I think lovers of WW II history will especially enjoy this chapter’s early scenes and the next chapter.

Chapter 22 has posted, 12,600 words. America, Happy 4th of July weekend reading. The Home Nudity story steps up the intensity as the cast globetrots. From North Carolina to Greece to the Vatican and back to Boone.

At the end of Chapter 21 Bob’s CIA sister told him they were to deliver the Turkish asset to Greece. Rolling into Chapter 22 JoAnn’s sister Brooke and her daughter Mia pay an overnight visit.

A new book, Sacred Bonds: Incest as Divine Pedagogy in the Ancient World is introduced along with the books sexy author Egyptologist Dr. Eleanor Hughs. Published before Casual Family Nudity: The Answer to Today's Problems.

In Northern Greece after the mission is complete, brother and sister hook up with an old friend and the relationship is taken to a new level. I won’t spoil it. Hannah pays a visit to the Vatican archives with Samantha, makes some new friends, and participates in an ancient Pagen ritual. Back to Boone more family time with a returning friend.

Now, 5 months into the Home Nudity Experiment, late October 2005 to March 2006. If you have read all 21 chapters to date with a skeptic’s eye, I hope you see what is coming; I choose my words with care, they have meaning. My story style is character driven story telling with some room for ‘fun’, but my goal is to be true to the characters, this is not a stroke story. Hence the Dr Heny Jones IV and Stargate Characters mixed in. By now readers should be asking themselves how this will turn out, what are the potential downfalls, what clues have been given, and even ask yourself, are there families in your communities secretly living this lifestyle? Hopefully, I am giving the reader enough information to decide for themselves in the end. There is an end by the way.

I used AI as an assistant and that made research a lot easier, and in this chapter, to create a fictional argument and book title. For what, you will see. I strive to ground the story in historically accurate details from the weather to weapons to sports scores and news headlines and so on. AI has cut down on the time I spend hunting for information, so I was able to put this chapter out in about 4 weeks vs 6 to 8 with the help of my editor Steve proofing sections along the way.

And thank you to you my readers. As of this blog post the story has over 100,000 downloads. The number does not really tell me how many people are reading. But this series is the most read of my attempts.
