Thank you all!
I know I have an international readership. I've gotten notes from you fine people from around the globe - Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Great Britain, Denmark, and of course, on this side of The Pond, Canada, as well, natch, from all over the USA.
I strive to put together stories of people overcoming adversity and finding love and happiness among friends and family. The fact that my attempts result in stories with consistently high scores is one indicator that I succeed. Another is the volume of comments, mostly positive (like 20:1) about my tales.
Some of you are apparently as invested in my characters as I am,because I get several notes a week posing 'what if' and 'why doesn't' scenarios for my girls.
Makes a hack writer feel good.
That said, Thanksgiving in the USA is the beginning of our holiday season, and to all of you, all over, I wish you the very best.
Thank you-
Oyster
Real Life (TM) intrudes sometimes. did a fourteen hundred mile week this week.
Managed to roll out a couple of chapters. If you're into my version of 'strange', then Mi Vida is there. Dana is at a stage where I'm having fun, and Community Too has another marriage to contend with.
I'm wishing all my friends here a Happy Thanksgiving and I'm hoping for a slow three-day work week from myself.
Keep those emails coming. I enjoy reading them and answering a few. And while on the subject of feedback, it's been a while since somebody did a review of any of my stories. That's as subtle a hint as I can give.
after chasing Dorable around for a week, I finally got a chapter of Community Too finished and sent off to the editor. As is my normal procedure, I checked the contents already posted on line and found I was missing a chapter - I just finished 24, and that last posting was 22.
Panic mode.
Aha! the editor had returned it to me, and somehow I'd overlooked it and failed to post. That usually means I received his email with the edited copy while I wa son one of my many road trips. Sometimes things slip through the cracks like that. I have corrected that error. Chapter 23 should post shortly.
Now we have to see what Dana does to poor Ed.
She's leaving me with three-quarters of a chapter that ends with a distraught Carlita and a befuddled Dave, and an opening of the pTerridactlyl's trip to California.
I managed all that within a thousand miles of driving and poking around my chunk of the nation's fossil fuel infrastructure. It's NOT 'fossil fuel', we're recycling dinosaurs.
Hoping we (me and Dorable) get back together this weekend.
My sometimes elusive muse, Dorable, has been sitting beside me telling me stories for the last few days. I've been posting a chapter a day for a while.
Don't know how long she'll do this, she being a quite flighty little thing at times, but while it lasts, enjoy.
Oh, and three stories in the Top Twenty downloads - thanks, readers. Also, thanks for the wonderful stack of emails about the stories and the last blog post.
Stokes the fires, you know. And Dorable LOVES fires.
