Eleven megabytes of Smart Girls stories since I opened up the first stories that would become a universe that has been pretty well received.

It's time to tie the bow on it. Yes, there are loose ends. Yes, there are story lines that would do well with expansion. But it's time.

You haven't seen the last of the Oyster, though. My flittish muse Dorable has been whispering stories in my ear for the last month and a chapter's already in the hopper. I hope you'll enjoy the new stuff as well.

Turned 70 a couple of weeks ago. Yippee!

Muse has not been helpful. Want to finish the Smart Girls universe, though, then see if something else pops up.

So it seems that 1) EVERYBODY who's comment or emailed me had noted that the story is a departure from my usual genre and 2) several of you hate it.

Sorry if you don't like it. I kinda do. You see, it's rooted in an incident in real life, brought forward forty-odd years. I HAD to write it. Really. Oh, and the real incident didn't get past the part where Jamie outlined Dil's protrusion with the sheet.

The rest is the fantasy I kept to myself for all this time. The 'Jamie' side lasted another eighteen years. I should've gone for Jenn.

And for you who just can't stomach the story, well, don't read it. 'Community' is going on, as is the saga of Bill & Haley. And there's another percolating in my mind, a triumph arising out of tragedy.

Apparently, Dorable, my muse, is trying to help me during my time of 'work from home' (Suuuure... five-state service area) while I'm cooped up with Sweetie, who I met thirty years ago and should have latched onto then.

I just picked up the thread of Deena's trials with Bill and Haley, and a chapter's at the editors now.

Now, let's see where Dil and Jenny and Jamie are going...

I used to be able to juggle three stories at once.

Working on a chapter of Community now. Got some direction to pick up where we left off with Deena and Haley.

I'm writing again.
