Apparently, Dorable, my muse, is trying to help me during my time of 'work from home' (Suuuure... five-state service area) while I'm cooped up with Sweetie, who I met thirty years ago and should have latched onto then.
I just picked up the thread of Deena's trials with Bill and Haley, and a chapter's at the editors now.
Now, let's see where Dil and Jenny and Jamie are going...
I used to be able to juggle three stories at once.
Working on a chapter of Community now. Got some direction to pick up where we left off with Deena and Haley.
I'm writing again.
Working from home. Yes, I'm in the final year before retiring from my real job.
Significant other is a teacher and schools have been closed for a couple of weeks now. This is MY first week of working from home, which is fine for paperwork, but my other job functions require me to travel over a five-state (and more) area to support a lot of locations. So far, I have had none of those issues. Living in the same house as Sweetie is interesting, though.
No, I haven't given up on writing. I will do something shortly. I promise.
A chaper of Haley's Bunch is going to the editor when I get home today. And I'm getting cranking up a chapter of Community after that.
I need to see what happens to my girls.
First, thank you to all who've written, asking about my status. I appreciate it.
Second, I fared quite well in the face of record-breaking rainfall from Tropical Storm Imelda. I'm in Southwest Louisiana. The real flooding started at the Texas border, twenty miles or so west of me. Those folks are facing a repeat of what Hurricane Harvey did only two years ago.
Third, concerning my writing - yes, the stories go on in my head, and yes, I will return to writing, it's just that new girlfriend (a term that does NOT adequately portray her status) is more fun than writing. We're working out our spaces and times together and somewhere in there is writing time. Cindy and the gang will go on, at least for a while.
Other stories hover in the far reaches of my mind, as well. We'll see...
