Apparently I wasn't clear in my last blog. The Swarm stories being posted by JJ are the original stories 'as is' as were posted on ASSTR. They were written by one of the original authors in the Swarm Cycle and shaped the early thinking. Some of them have elements that don't stick to what we consider 'canon' today, but then, they are so early that they could be considered the 'real' canon.

I am neither the author nor the person 'porting them over. I am the prodder and poker to try and get them over, but I stick with the authors' desires.

One author, sili artie, removed all his stories from ASSTR, so his two Swarm stories are unlikely to appear here - though he did notify fans well ahead of time so they could download copies.

I sent a note to Thinking Horndog asking him to facilitate the stories being moved into the Cycle. Too soon to have heard from him.

I call your attention to these stories by one of the Swarm Cycle's earliest authors. They are being ported 'as is' from the now defunct ASSTR with permission of their author.

There are sixteen more of this author's Swarm Cycle stories. I'm sure all nineteen will be moved into the Cycle collection. Enjoy them and say thank you to "JJ".

I just noticed that I have 666 followers. How appropriate is that for a porn site?! Hmmm...

I just finished my 1st time reading of an AI generated story. The story was full of typos, stranded letters, wrong pronouns, inconsistent capitalization, often repeated exact descriptions, and more. It feels as though the 'author' didn't bother to read the story before uploading it. I feel cheated...

I must say the story's idea was interesting. I have no idea what involvement this purported 'author' (or any 'author' using AI) has in the creation of an AI generated story. But I do expect an 'author' to respect us readers by cleaning up the story before posting it.

Had this story been submitted as a writing assignment by a high school senior, it would have been graded maybe an 'A' for originality but an overall 'D' or 'C' by depending on how much Ms. Pruett decided to take off for bad proofing and repetitive style. On SOL, readers rated it over 7.5. I guess for those willing to read AI generated stories, this story is above average.

I plowed through it to see if my perception of AI generation was valid. My attention continually drifted to other things because of the number of errors. I'm not likely to read another AI generated story - especially not by this author.
