Chapter 17 Delayed.

Good morning, everyone! I know that many of you are used to seeing a new chapter for Fugitivas being posted on Friday. I'm sorry to tell you that there will be a delay in my posting as I wrap the story up. Lots of things happening! Thank you for your understanding.

The Lodi Arch

Posted at Updated:

I have placed a picture of the Lodi Arch on the cover page of Fugitivas. It has been mentioned in the story. The Arch sits at the edge of the downtown area of Lodi.

The Lodi Arch, designed by architect E B. Brown, was built in 1907, the year after Lodi became an incorporated city. The purpose of the Arch was to provide a formal, fancy entrance to the grounds of the Tokay Carnival, the first Lodi Grape Festival.

Many people will stop and take their picture in front of, or below, the Arch, provided traffic safety allows.

Insurance

In case anyone is wondering, I am a Licensed Property & Casualty Agent in the State of California. The information that I have provided today in chapter 14 is *very* basic, as insurance laws will vary from state to state.

If you want additional information on how your insurance policies are put together to protect you, contact your Agent. They have a fiduciary obligation to do a review on your coverages annually, upon request.

A number of people in the legal and insurance industry have pointed out to me that the swiftness and amount of the settlement is unrealistic. Actually, I have seen amounts like this in the story awarded, in similar situations. And as for the time-frames? The plot didn't need this to drag out. I took a bit of creative license here. (Okay, a LOT of creative license. But, fiction, you know?) As Lupe stated; "I have seen cases like this go back and forth, dragging out for months and even years!”

Concerning your own coverages, I ask you to ask yourself; “What do you have to loose?” The answer is *EVERYTHING.*

Happy Thanksgiving.

I would like to take a moment to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. Please take a moment to count your Blessings. I am certain that you will discover that you have more than you realized.

11/11 Again.

I wish to apologize to all the Veterans who have served in the military, in their home country all around the world. The first message I posted for 11/11 mentioned the United States and Europe, without any specific country named. It was gently pointed out that November 11 is a day that is reserved all around the world, to honor and remember those who wore the uniform of their nation. I did not mean to ignore your service and brave efforts. Please forgive me.

"All gave some, some gave all."

Again, my grateful thanks to all of you. - Krista
