Well it seems I'm stuck on Ch 18 in ANLoL. I'm trying to slog thru but I'm stuck on the characters getting their hair done for the Fall Dance. I know what the girls will be doing, but what about the guys? I'm at a lost honestly. It's been too long since my last school Semi-formal/formal dances to recall what I did.
I may just take a break and start up a revision of the first few chapters, now that I'm back to writing again, or at least want to write. Or maybe a new short story separate from ANLoL or maybe a profile/history/origin of some of the characters. Let me know what you think, my DMs are always open, would you all like to see profiles and origins of some characters?
Chapter 18 is picking up speed, but I keep getting distracted by kitties, and titties, and kitties with titties. So, Ch 18 is forming nicely, Ch 19 I have in my head, it's the dance.
However I do have a slight dilemma that I'm preparing for, Ch 18 and 19 could be too small to be a full chapter, and if combined could be too large of a chapter. What would be preferred? One large chapter, or 2 smaller ones? let me know.
I have also CH 20 in my mind as well. It's going to be the personal reflections of the newer characters, and kind of a introduction to them.
Please, feedback is important. Let me know what the masses would like from my story. Critical feedback and info. Not just "Paula x Jake fuk plz k thx bye!" actual critical thinking on this. I know it's a lot to ask in the day and age for critical feedback.
I'm throwing y'all the bone I have. Chapter 17. it's totally different than what I've posted. Chapter 17 will arrive on Halloween, and it's not even a spooky story.
Well I'm sorry to say I haven't made much progress with Chapter 18. I seem to have lost my editor that I had contact with so I need to edit my story my self again. Right now I'm trying to balance how much detail is too much and what is needed and what is not.
Chapter 18 is all the talk and prep-work for the girls (and boys) for the Dance. Chapter 19 will be the dance, and Chapter 20, I think I will do profiles on the new warriors that were introduced in Ch 15-16. Get their background, how they feel about it all, and some current world events that are going on especially the forced recruitment act.
So rambling on some more. I still have the battle to balance detail. How much is too much? is it enough? is it too much? is it just right? but for now, stuck on preparing for the dance.
Advice, words of wisdom, encouragement, something would help.
I need feedback. Between Chapter 1 and chapter 10 which chapter do you think is the best and why. I'm looking for constructive answers only, if you're going to dump on me and say none and not leave a constructive answer then move along.
I know I'm not the best writer, hell, I don't even consider myself to be a novice. I'm just writing what I like for you to enjoy.
