Good day to all. First:
For those of you that do celebrate the day, good wishes to you this Thanksgiving! May good food that fill your table, good health as you work hard, and good times with family and friends. May you have all the best delights in life. November is the time to be thankful, a time to remember, and to embrace those who enrich our lives. I’m thankful for a lot of things, but I’m most thankful for you!
Happy Thanksgiving!
You know, in every soapy there comes a time when the actors age more than the character they play. Thus, some had to go. How heart-rendering it may be, they had to go.
This had me in a bind about WHO should go in DESERT ROSE. There were a few that did not make the mark, so they had to be eliminated. I think that you already knew that it was to be. So I am sorry that if it was your favourite character, but such is life.
I hope chapter 24 will bring more clarity about what had happened and why it happened.
Enjoy!
Bye 4 now!
Yes, the load-shedding is still with us. For twenty-six years they tried to get it right and still fail…
But enough of that! Chapter 23 of Desert Rose is about to hit your screens. Nothing earth-shattering, although a small bit of action near the end of the chapter. I hope you kind and wonderful people will like this edition of Desert Rose. Sometimes, some things are bound to happen. It's called: "Fate." Ain't it astounding? Else we would have such dull lives…
Enjoy!
Bye 4 now…
P.S. Don't try to kill me. Both Darya and Nadia are with me… LOL!
Good day to all.
After all the load-shedding, because of "wet coal" or "The ship with the diesel did not arrive…" and those lame excuses, I did manage to get the next chapter out to the editors. Okay, I won't say anything about jet engines not working with diesel, because my one editor told me that it is possible. (No wonder the stuff only generate half the capacity. Diesel, my word.) With those clowns at our electricity generation circus, anything is possible. They might get it right to use old plastic bottles running the Koeberg Nuclear Power Plant! (Breytie, don't laugh! You know what I mean.)
Anyway, I received the edits back this morning. Okay, - yesterday evening, just before bedtime. Then the Redhead wanted to go shopping this morning. But I made it. So, here you go. The good people at SOL will still be "moderating" it. (See to it, that my story is in line with their good taste and high standards. LOL)
Thank you for all the emails and comments. It's appreciated. (and I mean ALL of them.)
Now to get on with Chapter 23…
Keep well, stay safe, be good!
Bye 4 now!
Hi all.
Okay, I found that the comments and email function of that other blog of mine, don't function so well.
I made some changes. There's now a direct email link to my "Jody Daniel" email address. Please use it. Also, you can now change the language of the web page.
PLEASE: My friend, the teacher of German for more than 20 years. (You know who you are.) Don't try to read it in German. Google Translate will have you in stitches!! But thanks for your excellent advice. It is highly appreciated!
I still need to figure out how to make it cellphone and tablet friendly, but hey, I'm not THAT computer wise. LOL.
Also: Good news! Chapter 22 is at the editors! Maybe up for download by Friday / Saturday!
Enjoy.
Bye 4 now.
Hi there. Chapter 21 of Desert Rose, fresh out of the oven, will be up just now. Enjoy.
Sorry if I got my Port and starboard somewhere mugged up, but we "fly boys" don't use it! Even ATC when they vector you to a new heading will say "turn RIGHT heading 230 and proceed on course..."
We abandoned the Starboard and Port thing just after WWII! LOL. Sorry.
Bye 4 now.
