Hi all!
It might be an advantage to stay near an airport or even a toll-gate, as for the past couple of weeks, we did not experience any power outages during the load shedding by Eskom. Yes, I have power, BUT the Cell Towers are getting power cuts. No battery backup, because the batteries has been stolen! Grrrrrrr! (And they call South Africa a first world country!)

So at least I can drink coffee, make something to get the old tummy quiet, cut the lawn, play a game on the PC, and write. BUT no internet to communicate with the world out there.

Oh, well, At least I have power! The internet can wait a bit. So sorry if I’m late in answering your mail.

AND, you are catching up with me! Here is Chapter 9, and Chapter 10 ain’t off to the editors yet. Oh, Boy!!

Herewith chapter 8 of “To Cheat the Devil.” Poor Roxy! Ag shame... But read for yourself. It seems like she can’t win.

Working on 2 chapters at the same time is getting me down. I have to keep reminding myself with what chapter I am busy with. Getting pictures ready for the chapter coming back from the editors, posting it, and writing on the next chapter, only to find stuff that will be good for the next, next, chapter. I wonder what those guys and girls who do this for a living feel?

Anyway, this does keep me out of trouble. (LOL) AND, it is fun! I hope you like it too!

Herewith chapter 7 of “To Cheat the Devil.” Things are moving a bit on the action side of the story. I do hope you enjoy it.

With all this load shedding going on, I am now loosing 6 hours of internet per day! That just leaves me a small window to upload. So, don’t despair, stay with me.

Chapter 07 came back from the editors with a big RED note! DON’T DO THIS!!! The cliff hanger ain’t fair! Okay, so I rewrote the end of the chapter and (evil laugh) put in a curve-ball. It makes things a little funny in chapter 8, and lead to some interesting assumptions. LOL.

BUT, here is chapter 6. Enjoy!

Chapter 07 is going out to the editors, but here is Chapter 5 so long. LOL, the posting is catching up with the writing and editing, but I hope to be at least one chapter ahead by the time the story finish!

The story will now be taking on a more adventure / action theme, as all the elements are gathering in Somalia. With the next chapter the gang will be mid in the thick of things.

Things are going a bit slow on the romantic front, but there seems to be an ember still flaming in the fire to come.
