The Sound of Thunder Chapter 13.

Hello there to all you wonderful people. I do hope you are all in good health and full of life. If not, do some reading on SOL and feel the goodness flow.

Here it is getting cold now. Going out in the mornings, I need to put on a jacket. Just to keep the polar bear, and he’s black wet snout at bay. Later it does warm up, and the jacket goes over the jacket rack at the front entrance.

Chapter 13 of “The Sound of Thunder” will publish in a sort while. I do hope you will enjoy this one. Maybe it will be a little gross to the end, but hey, come on, life ain’t laughs and giggles all the time. Although I tried my best to describe the scene and filter out most of the really gory stuff I have witnessed in my life in and around Cape Town, my editors think that it is okay, and you will enjoy it.

So, until next time: If I don’t see you through the week... I’ll catch you on SOL!

Keep well and stay healthy!

Bye 4 now!

P.S. SOL just mailed me to say the chapter is posted!

Hi there!

Between all the load-shedding and unexpected power outages, I did get to finish chapter 12. Well, Eskom decided that either the coal is wet, or some other lame excuse for shutting down the power for 2 hours at a time. If they stop selling electricity to Zimbabwe, it will help our economy a great deal. And then again coal produce 8 kilowatt hour of electricity for every 1 kilogram coal burned. One kilogram of Uranium 235 deliver 24000 kilowatt hour, so why are we still burning coal? Okay, I understand, politicians can’t do sums. (Maybe count votes. Who knows?)

So, before the anti-nuclear activists start killing me, let’s skip the subject. All I can say is that I DID work at a nuclear facility, and you get more radiation from the sun each day, then standing next to a nuclear reactor! And it is not necessary to put on all that lead lined overalls. Only if you work with the fuel rods, else, all is safe, even walking across the catwalk over the top of reactor.

Then there’s GREEN RENEWABLE ENERGY, but the cost to us little mortals. Oh, boy! (And girls.)

Chapter 12 of “The Sound of Thunder” will be available later today. And by the way; the pictures that did not make the cut to chapter 12 will be available later at my other blog. (You know where to look. Sorry SOL.)

Have fun and enjoy!

Keep well, stay safe and out of mischief!

(Okay, for you boating fans: Keep the pointy side towards clear water! Stand on the blunt end and wave at us not so fortunate to have a boat. Even a little one.)

Bye 4 now!

Good day to you all! (That’s all I will say.)

Yes, it will be impossible to name just the countries where my esteemed readers find themselves. (All 31 countries.) I had to consult a world map the other day. This website had a hit from a country I did know about. WOW!

Also, thank you to the guy (or girl) that found out VPN. To have hits on my website from both Russia and Ukraine, was just unbelievable. And that was in the last seven days!

Just imagine if you all sent me email! I will take forever to answer them all. LOL. But I am not complaining! No, on the contrary, I would love mail from you all! (There’s a spot on the website where you can send your email, without too much hassle. Just look on the right side of the main page.)

NOW, the real reason for this communiqué to you. (Nice word, hey! It’s not pay-as-you-go, nope, for me it is learn-English-as-I-go! LOL.) Okay, the good news is that “The Sound of Thunder,” chapter 11 is now with the editors, and will post in about 2 days time. So hang in there! I know your pain. (Okay, some of your pain.)

Here all is A-Okay, with no adverse problems or things like aircraft making dead-stick landings on a road and causing my wife to be one hour late for work… Snakes hibernating in her office for winter… Female crocodile that builds a nest at my wife’s work, and laid some eggs… Nah, nothing out of the ordinary. Life is just rosy. It's just fun living in Africa!

So, watch out for chapter 11, to be posted soon.

Keep well, stay safe and out of mischief. Keep the blue stuff overhead, and the rubber-side down.

Bye 4 Now.

The Sound of Thunder Chapter 10.

Hi there everybody! Hoping it goes well with you all. Here is Chapter 10 of The Sound of Thunder.

My one editor said that it is only ME, that would place a container ship in a flight simulator! LOL. But it is for the story! I even changed the name of the ship to be in line with the one in the story. (Even the flag of the shipping line, but that will be for a future chapter, as the flag goes on the back of the ship.)

The Puma also got a new paint job! It don't look like Ash is very happy with the paint job, but he has to keep his trap shut and go along with the boss of the Puma, Grumpy!

Thanks for all your emails. I do appreciate it.

Until next time.

Bye 4 now!
