Hi there!

And here we go with a little interlude until I can get the story of Somalia going.

Yes, due to pressure from certain sources, (I won’t mention names…) there will somewhere in the future be a follow-up on “The Sound of Thunder.” Currently, there is a lot of research going on. Especially getting to fly a Mirage 2000 C! No wonder Angie took eight months to master the “Black Widow!” The systems are CRAZY! Just trying to program the flight management system is something to wrap your mind around! Try thinking in REVERSE! But, wait for the story…

So, in the meantime, here is chapter one of “Amelia.” Just a little something, something I dreamed up during writing the last three chapters of “The Sound of Thunder.”

Like with “Caldo Largo,” I strayed a bit away from action/adventure and this time around ventured in to pure fantasy… (EVIL, BOOMING, CRAZY LAUGH!!!) Here is “Amelia,” a ghost story… BOO!

Hi there!

I do hope that all is well with you all! Here we are freezing with a cold front that just moved off into the Indian Ocean, leaving us with frost and other nasty stuff. Even a thunder shower came through on Tuesday / Wednesday night. Rain in summer, yes! But not in winter. All I’m waiting now on is for some snow. But as always, I’m afraid I’ll never get to build a snowman. Yes it do snow here in South Africa, but not where I am.

SO! The curtain falls on The Sound of Thunder. Sorry, but it is time that the Ash & Angie saga gets to go rest up. As my editor said, there is scope for the next adventure. BUT my wife said that I must now spend some time on a new adventure: “HOW TO CLEAN THE GARDEN!” Okay, she wins!

First off! Thanks for all your emails. It’s always a pleasure to hear from you guys.

And thank you for the good wishes. "Desert Rose" got a place (# 5) for; Best Romantic Story 2021. And "Jody Daniel" came in at # 8 in Author of the Year 2021. I am happy about that. I never thought that it could happen. Thanks to all you guys and girls that voted.

Slowly but surely, The Sound of Thunder is drawing to a close. Yes, I know, but there’s a saying that goes: There’s a time to COME, and a time to GO. TSOT’s time to GO, has now COME…”

Just getting you ready that the crew of Angels, Ash and Grumpy will exit stage left, shortly.

Question: Is there something else coming?
Answer: Maybe… Time will tell…

And those few of you that do have come to know something: KEEP QUIET! OR else: The Angels might visit you, and I can assure you, it won’t be nice! They are masters at breaking bones, extracting fingernails and … LOL.

Hi there!

And together with the cold fronts rolling in, chapter 15 of The Sound of Thunder is rolling on to a PC screen near you. It was a busy week and a half so far. It looks like the rain has let up, and the old man Winter has got the memo that it is now supposed to drop temperatures and close the tap on the rain. Well, besides breaking out the woollies, it means — water the garden, and cut out the old dry branches. Rake up the dry and crumbling leaves, and see to that there’s time to write!

Hi there! Okay, okay, I know it has been awhile, but life do happen. Broken tumble dryer, broken lawn mower, Sister-in-law’s patio roof-beam broke… (Due to age and water seepage that she did not see.) No, not my couple of weeks.

And then the memo that say it is winter, and they must switch off the rain, did not get to where it should be. Thunder and lightning with rain just to smother your mood. At least, I don’t need to water the garden. Garden, what garden? It's a pool, and I am afraid some ducks will take up residency there!

BUT, good news! Chapter 14 will be up later today. Enjoy!
