Hi all!
And now… You guys and girls has finally caught up with me! I have no more reserve chapters in stock and are working on chapter 21, while you get chapter 20 to read.
Yeah, I think the heatwave we are now having here in the north of the country do have an impact on my writing. It is F…. HOT! Even the cats are passed out in cool places around the air conditioner, but it is still hot.
Lucky they predict the heat wave will pass by tomorrow. But the last week was devastating with temps in 39 to 42 degrees Celsius range. (102 to 107 Fahrenheit)
Okay, Mister you know who you are out there in Namibia! I know I will be getting email in the line of :“Mine is bigger than yours!” But then again, you don’t live in the Namib Desert! Only on the outskirts of the desert. AND, Windy.com tells me you are a nice cool 31c today! LOL.
I do hope you all like the pictures. There are six pictures in this chapter. Three of the pictures was my own creation, and with the rendering in full HD it takes about 40 minutes to one, and a half hours for one picture to render.
Now it’s time for me to go out and brave the sun, and drive to my Sister-in-Law’s place to go see that her doggies did not dehydrate.
Stay well, stay safe!
Until next time.
Bye 4 now!
Hi all!
Better late than never! I should have posted this chapter on Friday, but life happens. I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. But here is chapter 19.
I am awaiting the return of chapter 20 from the editors, but as one has indicated, he will only be available to do anything to the edit around Wednesday 22 November. But yes, I do think it will be in time for publication.
On the moment, I am working of the pictures for chapter 20, and writing chapter 21. So, let me leave you with chapter 19 so long. I do hope you like what is happening so far. I do have to say: no animals were harmed or abused in this story!
Thank you for all your emails and comments. Also, I do see and read the comments in all the other concluded stories. Thanks for that as well.
And speaking of “thanks:” I notice that Thanksgiving Day will be celebrated on 23 November this year, and by the time I speak to you again, the turkey will only be bones and a memory. So, to everyone: A Happy Thanksgiving!
Stay well, stay safe!
Until next time.
Bye 4 now!
Hi all!
Yes, it’s November already! Did this year flew past! But so far, so good. I managed to get through the winter without the sniffles and the flu… and guess what? The Red head brought a bug from work and generously gave it to yours truly!
Yesterday was when I started to feel the effects. LOL. With my little vet background I could scratch in the medicine box and find stuff that would make me feel better. Lucky I’m not allergic to anything and (Dr) Jody prescribed some stuff to himself AND… I could finish that last picture of Bobbie and Louis!
I do hope you find that last picture of Bobs and Louis to fit the mood of the last part. The 3D modelling software had me rewriting the Sailors Handbook for Descriptive Words! When I wanted to bend Bobbie’s leg one way, it ended up like she looked disabled. Grrrrrrr!
Then it was a question of what colour nighty for her. After consultation with my one Editor, I went with blue. (The black one showed too much detail. Call it a nipple-slip! LOL.) Well, in the end I won the battle with the software and there’s the picture for you guys.
Enjoy chapter 18. Things are now starting to go in a direction. AND: No cliff-hangers this time! (But wait… Never mind…)
Stay well, stay safe!
Until next time.
Bye 4 now!
Hi all!
So here we go for just in time for your weekend reading! Cargo Drop Chapter 17 coming your way.
So far all has been well around here. Politics aside, the last couple of days was good. A little rain, some snow and hail, but I suppose that was the last of the cold for the season.
The weeds in the garden did get a boost from the rain, BUT, (evil laugh) I had a ball of a time with the weed-killer! Some did seem to be immune to it, but a second spray did its job!
Now, on to Chapter 19… Oh, sorry that one is with the editors. Okay, on to Chapter 20 then!
Thank you for all the comments and emails. It’s highly appreciated.
Stay well, stay safe!
Until next time.
Bye 4 now!
Hi all!
With the current two heat waves that hit us, it is like my one editor said: “South Africa did not have spring, but went directly into summer!” Surprise, surprise! Now there’s a weather warning out for severe swells and high wind around the south of the country, from Saldanha Bay on the west coast, trough Cape Town, up to Plettenberg Bay on the Cape South Coast.
A cold front with heavy rain is expected along the south coast, and this drop in temperature will result in a drop of temperature here on the High Veldt as well. This cold front is one of the last of the season and will reach inland as far as Bloemfontein, pass just south of Gauteng, and exit South Africa around the north of KwaZulu-Natal.
Here is chapter 16 of “Cargo Drop.” I do hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I also think there’s NOT a cliffhanger at the end of the chapter, but rather a surprise.
Thank you for all the comments and emails. It’s highly appreciated.
Stay well, stay safe!
Until next time.
Bye 4 now!
