Midweek Update - Sept 4

Posted at

Hello readers,

It's strange not having something posted during the week to talk about. I know I need the time to work on new stories but I kind of miss checking the views and ratings on a new posting.

A peek behind the curtain, the new serial story is going well. Should still be on track for mid-October, barring any unforeseen circumstances. It'll be a slower story than The Creek, with a bit more character build up.

There will be a new story this weekend with the working title The Runner, about an elite teenage runner who falls for her coach. It's a 2-part story, and I'll be curious how it is received. If well, I have an idea for another chapter. I really liked this one, it might be one of my favorites and I hope you enjoy it too. Let me know in the usual places.

In the next couple of weeks, there may even be a posting on the "after dark" channel. I finished a story a little while ago and have been saving it if needed for the main account, but it fits better over there. More details soon, as I need to pass it to my editor.

That's it for now, I hope to be back to 2 stories a week by late October or early November. Thanks as always for reading my stories and this rambling blog.

Weekend Update - Sept 1

Hello readers,

Wow, what a week. I'd like to start by thanking everyone for their support on The Creek. I've said it before but this was something I'd had in my head for well over a decade and it's crazy that I finally typed it out. I did honestly think no one would read it but now it's the highest rating story I have, so thank you. Thanks for rating, commenting, and sending positive (or constructive) messages.

Now the goal is to learn the lessons from this to make the next long story even more successful (It's currently being written, planned release is mid-October).

I've had a lot of people ask me to continue the story from where I left off. I've declined to this point, since I don't like to repeat ideas. But, if something strikes me, I'm not opposed to revisit Jason and Emily in the future. Speaking of, is it better to post it as chap 6 or as a new story in a series? Writers, do you know?

Next week, there's only one story being posted. It's part 1 of a 2-parter, roughly titled The Runner (*title likely to change). I wrote this months ago and have been sitting on it. I really enjoyed writing it so I hope you enjoy reading it.

It will be a little quieter here for the next month or two, as I work to build up more stories. That means only one posting a week on Saturdays, and probably one blog, unless I have something to write about. I will be head down writing more, so I'm not going anywhere.

Oh, final thing. Thank you to everyone that followed me. I passed 200 followers recently and didn't shout it out. I hope to have more things for you to enjoy soon (and maybe something for the 10 of you on my other account).

As always, thanks for reading.

Hello readers,

Short one this week. How did people feel about A Girl at the Motel Pool's end? I know the story was divisive for some but I've also had several people reach out to say they really enjoyed it. I do wish I had done better with this story but mistakes are learning experiences.

We also have the end of The Creek, on Saturday. I hope the ending can stick the landing, so to speak. I'll talk more about it on the weekend, but what great support on this thing.

Thank you for taking the time to read my nonsense.

Weekend - August 25

Hello readers,

I want to thank everyone for the highest total readers I've had over a 7 day period. That's crazy. I hope I can continue to provide you decent, maybe even quality, reading material (and/or smut) in the future.

The Girl at the Motel Pool, that has been a story onto itself. Lots of opinions on the aspects of the story and characters. Hearing from many of you, general sentiment is to leave it as is. I understand, and acknowledge, the complaints of the other side. I'll post the second half and then see how things fall. Thank you everyone for your feedback and points of view. I will try to avoid anything similar in the future.

The Creek, chapter 4 just came out and it topped last week's single day reads, which grew from the week before. This upcoming weekend will be the finale, I hope it is a satisfying conclusion to what was written.

I'm hearing calls to continue the story, lots actually. I never expected anyone to actually read this thing, let alone enjoy it, so I left no threads to build from. I tried setting things up for sequels in another story, Ashley's Awakening, but the demand wasn't there. It made me gun-shy to do that again. Nevertheless, I will see if I can come up with a follow-up. I've said it before with other stories and I haven't been able to, so no promises.

Note: This is the last week of two story releases per week. I'll be dropping down to Saturdays only for the foreseeable future. Doesn't mean I won't have surprises now and then, but that is the plan going forward.

Thanks for a crazy week everyone,

Midweek Update - August 22 Re-upped

Hello readers,

It has been a heck of a seven days for engagement on my stories, thank you so much. Lots of readthroughs on a lot of my work, welcome to the new readers.

I posted The Girl at the Motel Pool on Wednesday and while readership was high, and the score higher than expected, I had some negative feedback. It was specifically regarding the female character, Chelsea, in the story. Several readers thought she seemed too young, most of that falls on me.

I was going for a specific type of female build mixed with a lonely, desperate for attention girl. In my mind, she looked like Ariel Tylor (check out pics from Nubiles for reference). But the pushback from some was severe from few people, so I wanted to ask if I should pull the story and/or re-write the character.

I also wanted to ask about what my next story serial will be. I have one cooking that will be an incest story. After that, I wanted feedback on what my readers would like me to write next.

Options are:
1. Slow Story (like The Creek)
2. Something with more sex (like Peeping Tammy)
3. Something different
4. I don't care, do whatever

The Creek part 4, is this weekend. Readers have increased on each chapter, thank you for that.

One final note. I always love feedback and discourse from readers but recently they haven't been constructive or pleasant. You are welcome not to like my work or me, but if you message insults, inflammatory things, or weird 'gotcha's, I'm going to start blocking people. I do this for fun, and it's starting to not be that. I'm not a professional, I'm just a guy who wanted to pay back all the great stories he's read over the years with a few of my own mediocre ones.

Thank you for reading,

PS. You may have seen this post before. The site buried the original, I think, because I put a link to a survey in the post. I removed the link, sorry to the 1 person that answered the survey, but thanks for trying it.
