Midweek Update - July 31st

Posted at

Hello readers,

This was the last week for The Lifeguard, it never really reviewed well and many seemed to bounce off from it. I'm curious, from whomever reads these things, what your feedback is on it. Was it content? I just would like to know for the future. Any insight would be appreciated.

You might have also noticed this week, I added an extra story, After the Medals. It was just something I came up with on the day and typed up quickly. Didn't see a lot of Olympics stories out there. Not well received, kind of expected that, but it was a fun exercise in quick turnaround. Sorry to those offended by the content though, I do tag the content but maybe I'll put a warning on it too.

Finally, this weekend I'm posting The Creek. It will be a 5-part series unlike what I've written before. It's slower, more character focused and something I've wanted to do for a while. As always, please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you as always for reading,

Weekend Update - July 28th

Hello readers,

This weekend I put out The Canoe Trip with Uncle, not a ton of reads/downloads but a good score from those that read it. I thank everyone that gave it a go and I hope you enjoyed it.

This upcoming week, I have the final The Lifeguard out on midweek. It's been a disappointing reaction to it, but hopefully I can learn something from it. Please let me know your thoughts on any issues you might have.

On the weekend, we have the first chapter of my new series The Creek, which will run every weekend through August. It's a slow story, different than what I've done so far. Looking forward to feedback on it.

I can say Peeping Tammy 4+5 will be the next stories I work on. They'll be posted some time in August on their usual Midweek slot.

Thanks for reading everyone,

Hello Readers,

I would like to thank everyone again for their strong support on Trail Head. It was a story I really enjoyed writing and I'm happy it resonated well with a lot of you. Lots of great comments and messages from the SOL community, so thank you.
I've had requests for a continuation, I'm looking into it but can't make any promises.

Sadly, The Lifeguard didn't get the bump up in scores I was hoping the second chapter would produce. One chapter to go next week, and then I'll try to see where I went wrong.

On a better note, coming up Friday (or Sat) I'll be posting The Canoe Trip. For you incest fans, it's an Uncle/Niece story set across a long weekend trip. I hope you enjoy.
I'll update the plans for next week on the weekend blog.

As always, thank you everyone for reading this blog and my weird stories.

Hello readers,

As usual, I want to thank everyone for the strong reception to Trail Head, it was a weird story that came out of my head on the way to work and I'm glad people liked it. Lots of ratings, higher than some of my longer series, keep it coming.
It has actually made me a little more confident in the current story serial I'm working on, which should start posting August 3rd (if things go well).

Ok, this week we have Lifeguard part 2 on Wednesday. I'm curious how it will be received since part 1 seemed more negative. Hopefully, reception can be turned around.

On Saturday, we have The Canoe Trip. Yes, it's another outdoors themed story but I think it works for the summer season. It's an incest, Uncle/Niece story so I hope it resonates with everyone.

Last thing, to any writers out there, ever have a problem of wanting to write a one-off story and it spirals in scope? I have one that started as that and now looks to be a 4-part serial. Does that happen to others? Should I fight it or just run with the expansion? Just talking to the void.

Anywho, thanks for reading as always. I do this for fun and it's great to see the reaction to something that came out of my brain.

Hello Readers,

Well, I'll just start with thanking everyone who reached out asking for more Peeping Tammy, I will write 2 more chapters some time in the future. I'm glad people seem to enjoy that series and I hope you all like what comes next for them.

Things that aren't going well, The Lifeguard, yikes that isn't scoring well. I hope it's just because not much has happened yet. It is a 3-part story so we'll see with part 2 next week. Please let me know why you aren't enjoying it.

Lastly, Saturday I'll be posting Trail Head, it's a stand-alone story that I thought was fun to write. A little more story heavy, but it does get going with time. I'm not really sure what this site likes, I'm trying to figure it out.

Anyway, I'll see how it goes after posting and I'll write my Update on Sunday. As always, thanks for reading.
