I wrote a story called "Reba" based on the characters of the show as if it was real life. I wrote it so that even if you don't watch the show you could still follow the action. You had the added benefit of being able to hit up Youtube or Hulu or whatever and watch old episodes to physically see the characters and their relationships to reinforce the story.
When I write or even when I read a story I begin to picture the characters in my mind. As an example in "Do you have a Big Dick why not" The character of Betty is basically a hot older ex-stripper with Betty Page hair. It stands to reason anyone named Betty who was a stripper would propagate those bangs if she was a brunette!
Her daughter Waverly was initially in my mind basically Lindsay from "You are the Worst" or maybe a young Anna Nicole Smith. Slutty, air headed but with some actual smarts under those boobs.
However, Justin's mom I always had in mind his parents looking like Claire and Phil Dunphy from Modern Family.
This got me to thinking - wow, what a great idea a Modern Family TV show fan fiction would be.
You've got basically Al Bundy married to Sofia Vergara. Huge Tits, she dotes on Manny her son and has no qualms about using her sexuality to get what she wants.
Youv'e got Claire and her two hot daughters played by Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland. You've got her handsome son who is goofy and air headed.
You've got two gay guys who may/may not be into leather culture raising their daughter.
Thats just the main cast. Then you've got Al's ex-wife played by Shelly Long.
Here is the premise as it was originally written:
Jay Pritchett sits at the head of a large, unconventional family. Now in his second marriage to gorgeous young wife Gloria, Jay has been given something of a second chance. Still, old habits are hard to break, and it's trial by fire as he tries to adapt to life with the same passion and vigor that Gloria exhibits, which are matched by her precocious 12-year-old son Manny. There are culture clashes and a few misunderstandings, but also plenty of sweet victories along the way. Jay's grown daughter Claire and her husband Phil are the proud parents of three kids with whom they want that open, healthy, honest relationship. It's not always easy, especially when you have Haley, a teenage daughter who's growing up a little fast; Alex, a too-smart-for-her-own-good middle daughter; and Luke, a scatterbrained boy. Add to this that Phil is just a big kid himself, even if he does always have the best intentions. Claire is the anchor, trying her best to run a tight ship and determined not to let her kids have the rebellious childhood she had. Claire's brother Mitchell and his partner Cameron are busy raising their adopted daughter Lily. Opposites attract in this household, with Cameron having a wonderfully big personality and maybe a flare for the dramatic, while Mitchell is more buttoned-down. These doting fathers balance each other out and relish their roles as parents developing their own little family.
Basically, this story screams "Write some fan fiction about me"
I don't care where you go with it but I would ask that you put in a little BDSM and not make every character a total nympho. Ariel Winter's character Alex especially should be at least a little reluctant.
Some ideas to get you started writing?
Base it on some of the actual episodes only make it a little more sexual. You can search "List of Modern Family episodes" on Wikipedia
Examples?
Family Portrait: The straight version
"In the episode, Claire makes an effort to take a new family portrait. Gloria and Manny go with Phil and Alex to a Lakers game and share an awkward moment on the jumbo-tron. Cameron gets a job as a wedding singer while Mitchell takes care of Lily and battles with a pigeon that entered the house. Luke interviews Jay for a school project. After lots of mishaps, the family is barely on time for the portrait but Claire's perfectionism gets on Jay who starts a mud fight. The portrait is not as perfect as Claire was imagining it but she admits that she loves the result."
I can see how adding nudity and a typical BDSM family christmas card getting ruined by the mud fight in and of itself would make this awesome. What got caught on the Jumbo-Tron? Perhaps they started to film a "Kiss-Cam" but it was actually the two of them getting a BJ from a laker's girl and now they have to keep it from Claire?
How about the one where they go to Disneyland, but there is lots of flashing and bondage in hte hotel room? Maids walk in and find them.
hell, just do a stereotypical day and I'd be happy.
Have fun with it?
I recently got a comment on my story from someone who felt the need to be "Constructive"
They said words to the effect "I read the first chapter and it sounded like the main character was retarded."
Okay, I can cover any fetish you want. I can cover any dirty scenario you want. This is all fantasy so whatever happens isn't real anyway.
However, the one thing I won't tolerate is Ableism. Making fun of the handicapped or a handicap. I don't know why someone feels the need to do that. I guess they are small, pathetic people whose only joy in life is being a total shitstain hiding on the internet behind comments that would cause them to have their snot noses smacked in real life.
First of all, if my character was mentally disabled, he'd be the sweetest, most awesome motherfucker in the world. Saying that Justin is "retarded" as if it is an insult to compare him to someone who is mentally retarded is asanine.
I deleted the comment. I'll probably delete this blog post too. I needed to vent.
I write my story to amuse and titilate. I invite constructive feedback and interactivity and I'll even write your ideas into the story if I can.
What I won't do is tolerate ableism.
Sorry for the serious note, and thank you for listening.
