I just put chapter 16 in for posting. This covers the rest of that night for John, including Cecilia's news. I know a few of you complained that it was a bit of a cliff-hanger, so I hope this satisfies your curiosity.

Thanks again to all the people that show me criticism and support, including Greg Younger for pointing out a couple of holes I could have fixed with a line of text here and there. LOL

I just posted chapter 15, so it should be up shortly. This ends the day for John and takes up much of the following day, giving us a first glance at his life after the confrontation with Barb. There are still a lot of questions to answer and a few scenes that people have lamented didn't happen during his long talk with Barb, but the book's only half complete, so there's plenty of time.

Thanks to everyone who's been supportive of my efforts. I do still get some bullshit from trolls, but I give them a certain amount of the benefit of the doubt and then tell them to fuck off once they're irrevocably disrespectful. Strangely enough, they all seem to slink off when confronted, but want to hang around, pushing their shit when I try to be respectful to them. I find it weird and that is about the only emotional response they get from me.

Chapter 14 should be up shortly. It's the halfway point and the second half of John's day after his fateful encounter with Barb.

Hey folks. For once, I'm on the ball and have today's chapter in for submission well ahead of sundown.

Today starts the second part of the book, really. The last few chapters have seen John starting to take steps toward taking back his life, but chapter 12 was a big step. It was an act of defiance, a declaration of war between him and Brad and the fallout starts to show in this chapter. Like the first shift of an avalanche, it started small and didn't really seem like such a big deal, but things tend to take on a life of their own as everyone's soon to find out. I hope you all love it.

It's been a long day for me, but Chapter 12 is submitted to the mods, so it should be up shortly. This is a strange chapter and I know, some people will love it, some people will hate it, some people will see John being soft on Barb, some will see him taking back his life and I'm in for days of emails about all the opinions. LOL. I just ask you to keep it classy when you write, like always. Love it or hate it, I'll discuss the story with anyone that wants to talk about it.
