This week's chapters open with Greg recovering from the drug used to knock him out, and finds that he is secure to a metal chair. Gunther and Joey come in shortly after he recovers to brag about how they tracked him down. Greg uses a freeze spell on them before using another spell to free himself. Before departing he leaves a gift for those he can hear coming to question him. On arriving home, he finds Amelia missing.
Amelia was shocked and panicked when she saw Greg being abducted, but didn't know what to do until she remembered about Sylvia. The 'Book of Dreams' appears and helps her transfer to Sylvia's apartment. She explains what happened to her, but during their talks she realizes that Sylvia loves Greg also. They hatch a plan to share him before transferring back to his house.
Meanwhile, the Boss and Chip arrive with a minor Wizard to question Greg. The Boss's anger at seeing his men frozen in place triggers the spell that Greg left, and they all suffer from its effects for some six hours. Before leaving, the minor Wizard advises them to leave Greg alone.
At the house, the women find Greg already there and need to explain where they have been. It comes out that they intend to share Greg. Greg also needs to explain what happened to him, and he tells them that they are going to play tag with those after Amelia and now him. Following dinner, they all go off to bed, where Sylvia monopolizes Greg for the night.
In the morning following breakfast, they make preparations for leaving on vacations. Later they transfer to the Camden Revolutionary War Battlefield.
Downtown that morning, those pursuing Greg and Amelia are still recovering, but the Boss is determined to track Greg down and sends Gunther and Joey to find him and bring him back.

This weeks chapters open with Greg being awakened by Amelia's crying. She needs love and not sex, and Greg obliges her. Later they discuss Magic, their educations and eventually the topic of marriage is raised and Amelia needs love.
While Amelia and Greg are enjoying themselves, Gunther and Joey are out searching for her along the banks of the Ashley River. They have a hard time.
In the morning Greg and Amelia transfer to UGA to visit the O'Connells where they teach. They meet with Mike, Pat, Ken, Kell, and the Mac Sweeney Sisters. Greg and Amelia explain how they met and the 'Book of Dreams' is brought up. The O'Connells agree to have Amelia admitted to start her formal study of Magic in the fall.
In the meantime, Gunther and Joey are still chasing the rat that they believe is Amelia, and they shoot it when it charges out of the swamp grass. Two police officers arrive just after that to see what the shooting was all about. They remove the rat's body for testing for rabies. The Boss is very unhappy about how things are going and sends them and Chip to search for clues to where Amelia has gone.
Greg and Amelia visit the bookstore on Dorchester Road to purchase the First Level series of books on Magic, so Greg can tutor her, and he explains about the process of learning Magic. Later he calls Sylvia to check on her and to inform her that he has deposited the money in her bank account to cover her disappearance the previous day.
On Monday the 18th of April, Greg goes out to a business meeting, and on returning that evening he is ambushed by Gunther and Joey.

The initial chapters of the new story have been sent to the Moderators for posting.
Amelia and Greg is a story in the Reality of Less Magic in the Magic Ink Universe. It tales place after Magic Ink V and before the Lelia story.
Greg O'Brien is having lunch at his favorite hotel restaurant when a scantily clad young woman races through the lobby, but collapses before reaching the entrance doors of the hotel. Greg goes to see what is wrong with her and discovers that she has been abused, and that she has a very strong Talent but knows no Magic. He disappears with her just before those pursuing her appear.
After determining that the young woman has been given a huge dose of the drug that has knocked her out, Greg leaves her in a safe place while he goes to obtain the help of his Mage friend Sylvia to remove the drug from the young woman system, as he knows of no White Magic spell to do that.
Sylvia agrees to help after he uses his Magic to cure one of her animal patients. While she works on the young woman, Greg rounds up the necessary clothes, food and other items.
Sylvia naps after removing most of the drug from the woman, and Greg keeps watch. On awakening, she helps Greg transfer the tracking chips from the woman to a large wharf rat and they send it on its way to distract those pursuing the woman.
Those pursuing the young woman think she is dead from the drug she was given, until a signal from the tracking chips appears on their equipment some hours after she escaped. Their Boss sends them out to locate her and bring her back.
Greg learns the young woman's name, Amelia, when she awakens, and she eventually agrees to go to his house to hide from those pursuing her. Greg explains about her Talent and that she could eventually achieve the rank of Master or Senior Master if she studied Magic, but Amelia is distressed and worried about the cost of returning to school.
I hope that you will enjoy the opening chapters of Amelia and Greg. The story is completely written and mostly edited, so there should be no interruptions in posting it.
Magic Ink VIII is progressing very slowly as it requires a lot of research, and I have been distracted by other things that need to be taken care of ahead of writing. It will eventually appear. There are also a number of other stories that are in progress, but need a lot more work.
Enjoy these two chapters, more next week.

The final chapters open on Labor Day 1907 in Statesboro. The following day, Tuesday, is the ground breaking for the School of Magic. At the ground breaking, the O'Connells surprise those in attendance by using Magic to excavate the pit for the basement of the admin / classroom building.
Later Uncle Aengus appears at Grace and Owen's house to answer questions from those who attended the ground breaking from the construction company, the City Council, and the news reporters about how they had excavated the pit that morning.
On 18 October, Robert and Margie transfer to the O'Connell Realm so she can have her babies at the clinic run by her Relatives. On recovering, Margie needs to check on the health of her Daughters and discovers that there is a problem with one of them.
Robert arrives a short time later and she explains the problem with their second Daughter. Later some of the Senior O'Connells arrive to see the new additions to the Clan, and Margie again explains her Daughter's abilities and also reveals their names. The Senior O'Connells are upset by the names she has chosen, but the Eternal Flame appears, explains the differences in the children and approves the names.
Margie's Family eventually moves into the new house on Plantation Lane shortly before Grace goes to the O'Connell Realm to have her Son, Patrick. The holidays follow and then the First District Agricultural and Mechanical School opens in Statesboro on 5 February 1908.
The new O'Connell printing plant is established in Statesboro in May of 1908. All of the new houses on Plantation Lane are finished by mid-summer and the Teachers for the new school move in. The O'Connells have been running adds advertising the School of Magic all summer in numerous papers around the country and interviewing perspective students.
Additionally, there is an open enrollment period in December of 1908 where many are turned away for a lack of a Talent. The new School Of Magic opens on 6 January 1909. The following day the Eternal Flame appears with discouraging news about the Reality of No Magic, and this is where our current story ends.
This is the conclusion of the third story in the miniseries that began with 'Magic Ink VI', and continued with 'Grace and Owen', and then 'Magic Ink VII'. The series will conclude with Magic Ink VIII, which I am currently working on. I have named the series "Confrontation" which is also the subtitle of Magic Ink VIII.
Since it will require a considerable time to write Magic Ink VIII and to have it Edited, I will shortly be posting another story in the Magic Ink Universe named "Amelia and Greg" which is written, and being Edited presently, and will appear shortly.
It is also possible that another story may appear before Magic Ink VIII as it will be a difficult story to write because of the many causes contributing to the start of World War One. Please be patient.
I wish to thank all of you for reading my various stories, and also my Editors for their continued help in bringing them to you.

This week's chapters open with a barbecue on the 4th of July at Grace and Owen's house. Work resumes on the new houses the following Monday, and Uncle Aengus arrives to take Margie to Savannah to visit the Architect who is designing the buildings for the Magic School. Uncle Aengus arranges to pick up the rendering of the buildings to show the City Council the following week.
On Tuesday of the following week, Aengus and Aunt Gale take Margie, Robert, and Grace and Owen with them to discuss the new school with the Statesboro City Council. The Council is cool to their request and demands proof that they can perform Magic as they claim. They take them to Kesh Corran as a demonstration. The City Council will consider their request when they return.
By the end of July, the houses are coming along nicely, and the women's thoughts turn to the furniture needed for them. North Carolina is suggested as a source but is disappointing. Savannah is tried next with better results. The following day Margie accompanies her Mother, Celeste, and Grace to Savannah to purchase furniture.
Later Robert, Margie, and her Parents return to Savannah to move the new furniture to a warehouse in the O'Connell Realm until the houses are ready. Following obtaining the furniture, Margie helps Grace with canning. By the end of August, the new houses are approaching completion.
