So, this being Election Day, let me remind my readers to cast an informed, educated vote, not just a vote for voting's sake. Yes, vote, but be informed first. I won't say who I voted for, but given my liberal slant, you can probably guess. My an-cap days are behind me.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, I haven't forgotten some of my other stories. I write as I get inspiration, in fits and starts, and I sometimes focus on one story, sometimes dart back and forth from one to the other. This latest story has been a wild ride, but as you can see, it's moving right along. I myself am curious as to what the Muse and characters push me to do next.
There will be spin-offs, I think, just as there are for My Wicked Ways, A Sharing Pact, Bottoms Up, etc. However, for this phase, the deal is about done. Chapter 17, the finale, is in the queue as we speak, unless it's already been posted. I figured that, while there is unfinished business, it can be handled in the spin-offs, reflecting the passage of time and all that jazz. The story had reached a natural conclusion for now, at least. Hope that you enjoyed this twisted tale of marital reconciliation and all the delightful consequences that have followed. I know that I had fun writing it to be sure, including various plot twists, of course.
.....my Muse apparently keeps giving me ideas for a serial that I thought was ready to be spun off into more stories. It has taken me, and presumably the readers, not to mention the characters, on a wild ride. New lovers coming in, old lovers going away.....very strange direction indeed, even to me. I apologize to anyone shaken or shellshocked by these changes, but the Muse gets her way, every single time. I am curious to see where she leads Mark and company in the future.
Incidentally, in RL, I wouldn't think of setting such strange conditions as you'll see for a monogamous couple, as they are no less valid than poly people like me. I know plenty of happy monogamous couples, just as I know of happy, decent, well-adjusted, poly folks. However, due to the bizarre, post-apocalyptic world in which they live, and the strange effects of Mark's unusual semen, they have to test the commitment of the couple in question to monogamy before releasing them into its clutches....and frankly, they wanted to use their seed a bit longer until it's time to let go of it. Or, rather the mysterious God that exists in this world. Bear in mind that this story is not an attack on any one religion. This is a work of fiction, after all, so enjoy it as such. Anyway, he's fond of procreation, but not to the exclusion of recreation, or so it seems.
As for my other stories, don't worry....I'm far from done with them, including the Dana and Tear It Up....and Bottoms, among a few. I look forward to your continued readership and feedback. Thanks for reading, commenting, voting, and being patient with my Muse and me.
Well, it's been a good while since my last entry, so I thought that I would give you guys an update on things.
First, in answer to a reader's query, "My Wicked Ways" is a continuation of the same canon as "Halloween Birthday: Trick or Treat" and "New Year's Fuckin' Eve." However, of course, to clarify this, I put them all into a series now, the Lawgiver series, so-called because Mark's new role as the Lawgiver has begun at the end of "My Wicked Ways," and will become more apparent over time to other characters.
Secondly, I noted a continuity gaffe in "My Wicked Ways" about Mark's age. At one point, it is indicated that he is 37, but later that he is 39. Since I am 39 in real life, and Mark is an idealized version of myself, I will think of it in terms of the "37" part being a joke and leave it at that.
Finally, in response to the most recent feedback about "Bible Camp Blues," if one reads further, it will be clear that Larry will find a wife to stay with him for the rest of his remaining, albeit short life. She's not straight, but she proves to be very much attached to him. They will have to break free of the whole Judeo-Christian world-view to fully enjoy their lives together. Also, the castration bit was some poetic justice in my book, as I don't like rapists. It wasn't done to titillate.
....and I'm making some real headway on My Wicked Ways. I see the progression, natural as it is flowing of late, as being one toward a community that will help ensure the survival of Man in the post-apocalyptic future. Hence why Mark emphasizes procreation so much, though not the only reason by any means.
I'm toying with breaking off into a spin-off serial once the honeymoon cruise is set to begin. Yes, in case you wondered, I'm moving Jean-Baptiste in a feminized direction, but to be fair, he wanted that. The character begged me to feminize him, so I've started doing so. He will keep his cock, however, at least for now, same with his balls.
As for how much Mark loves his partners, well, he loves them a great deal. That's no lie. Though the numbers of partners have grown since Ninve's original risque offer, he loves each and every one of those delicious lovers of his, male and female alike, though it is still tougher to realize with the former for him.
It's like that TJ Sheppard song...."I Loved 'em everyone."
As for Mind Over Managers, so much to do with that....so fucking much, but it will be worth your while. Stay tuned.
