As I said in an earlier blog entry, I've been using a random action generator to decide what will happen between a list of up to four different actions for certain plot elements at certain places in this story. So far I am really liking the results.

I hope you readers who have continued to follow the story are enjoying the results although you don't have any way to know what plot elements were my decisions or the result of the RAG.

Would you rather have shorter chapters posted more often, say one or two pages in the SOL format; or do you enjoying sitting down and reading three or four pages in the SOL format.

I always enjoyed the amount of story per chapter that I found in the Defenseman to Dman 3 stories, even if the chapters took a while to be uploaded.

I am trying to post more often. And I also try to write for a while everyday.

I hope to be posting more often than I did after the new year. My editor is back and I've gotten a bunch of writing done.

Thanks for continuing to read Growing Home. I hope the person who has sent me emails without any return email address would share more information with me than just, "don't spoil it."

But I'm not sorry if the plot isn't going the way you want it to. I am as much in the dark as to what specifically and sometimes even generally happens from chapter to chapter until it is written, although I do have one or two scenes I try to write my way to as a rough map. The rest is all what happens. I've even started using a radom events generator where when I see what might happen in the story and I develop four possible plots from that trend or event and two completely off the wall plot lines, number them, and then roll a dice to decide which one I pursue, like it or not.

I have gone through Knocking On Door and did edits on each chapter to make corrections I missed and readers pointed out to me. I also turned some of my one sentence paragraphs into actual multiple sentence paragraphs as also pointed out to me by a few readers.

I also made a few changes to assure continuity where edits got out of control and I missed some of the references to actions I removed from the story before I uploaded a couple of the chapters.

I have 3 new chapters waiting on my proofreader.

In the past month and a half a family member has been very ill but now is getting better. I've had the flue and then a bad sinus infection, but I am now on the mend. I haven't been on line very much during this time and I haven't been up to writing much but now have started again. Two additional chapters of Growing Home are going through the proof process at this time and will be posted when that is done.
