I've tried, really I have. I start out with a simple idea. A Burn the Bitch story among some well-to-do folks in Atlanta. It would be 3, maybe 4, chapters.

When I'm done writing it's 19 chapters long. I admit it got away from me. A tad bit of personal fantasy [ahem] and then the characters got into the act: wanting to tell their own story. Darn them.

And of course, it's a Harry Carton story, so nothing is simple.

Anyway, it's coming out Saturday morning DAT [Daylight Author's Time -- meaning whatever time I wake up]. I'll post one chapter every day for 19 days straight.

Look for 'The Fuck You Announcement.'

I've just posted a story on Bookapy. It's SHAKESPEARE. I picked it because it relatively short (51,500 words), and it didn't need much reediting although there were some changes in the story.

If you want to see it again, here's what I said about it at the time (2015):

"A sci-fi story about a character that comes to be called Shakespeare, because he is The Bard of his people. This tale chronicles his people's interaction with a strange group of aliens who call themselves 'humans.'"

It's going behind the paywall on 15 August.

I got a fair amount of messages in April 2021 saying: "I like the premise of Lexi Redux, and I like Time Travel and Do-Overs... BUT I've seen quite a few stories that started out, and never got finished. I'll just wait 'til you're finished."

Well, you can stop waiting. As of Wednesday, July 20, the final few chapters of Lexi Redux will be posted.

Yes, that's right. It's 'THE END' of this saga. A mere 19 months after I started.

I'm posting yet another Cast for the long-running 'Lexi Redux.'

For those who want to peek ahead a bit, there are a couple of dozen new characters. Care to guess what happens next?

My internet is down. It is so 1990s to have to go to the library to signon. The ever-helpful cable company says it MIGHT be fixed in a couple of hours or so... I was in the DP department of several companies. That time stamp means an hour to a week.

I'll try to get my Saturday update out on time, but... you never know.

Meantime, I'm posting a new re-re-revised Cast list with some spoilers.
