Welcome and a hearty thank you to all.

This has been a very eventful year for myself and it had it's ups and downs but one thing that kept me going is that I was able to entertain you with my little bursts of writing.

The stroke I suffered in August was not a good time and I am slowly starting to recover but I am starting to think it injured me more than I thought. My physical recovery will take a while and I may have some problems that will be very long term but I am starting to think that mentally I was affected as well as emotionally. My writing and creativity appeared to have been affected which is something I need to look into. Way too many spelling mistakes were cropping up which slowed things down a lot.

But enough with the down, back to the positive parts.

To all who have given my stories and flash fiction a read and enjoyed them, thank you all. I will continue writing in the new year and hopefully will produce things that will continue to entertain you for a few minutes at least.

So to all here at SOL, thank you all and have a happy new year and hoping for the best in whatever endeavors you have coming up.

To the people who have been enjoying my little flash fictions scribbles, I am sorry that I was unable to post a new little chapter until now.

I had a small little medical emergency where I had a ischemic stroke and had to be taken to the ER to be treated and try to get rid of the blood clot that did damage.

I am back home now and in fairly good condition but still recovering.

A new chapter has been uploaded for posting tonight and I will see about adding a few more over the next week or so.

And I am very happy to see that some of my other writings are getting a look as well.

I just put a new little flash story up to be posted and this is a warning about it.

It was a story that had been sitting in the back of my mind for a very long time and eventually it had to come out.

It left me with tears in my eyes just from writing it, so a warning to anyone who reads it.

A few others who read this flash story added their own parts in reply on reddit but I couldn't add them as they were very personal to them and gave me fresh tears.

So just warning about it.

And have fun.

Well I decided to turn on the comments for my flash fictions collection.

Please be nice. I know I missed some spelling mistakes and the stories are very short.

These are basically things I came up with in a matter of minutes after reading a story prompt or it appeared while I was reading a story or news report or just playing a game and my brain went wandering.

They weren't aimed at being sagas or to make people think or even just being philosophical.

They are small thoughts I expanded upon and wrote down to keep my brain active.

And if they gave you a chuckle, brought a small tear to your eye or just made you say 'That's stupid.', then that is all I asked of them.

Thank you all for reading them and for also reading some of my other works.

I have been writing flash fiction for writing prompts on reddit for a while now and I created a little story based on depression and darkness and it's not as bad as it sounds but have a tissue nearby in case you need it.

I am wondering if I should collect what I have been writing and post them here. Would there be any interest?
