Thanks to an eagle eyed reader, I fixed a small grammatical error related to passed/past usage and a minor edit to a sentence in the story.

Thank you to all who have read this and my other stories.

Passing of a very creative and beloved author

Posted at Updated:

I just found out that a author, Vanessa Ravencroft https://storiesonline.net/a/vanessa-ravencroft, has passed away peacefully at her home late November 2020.

She created the Galactic Cronicles Universe and had quite a few books from it published here.

She was writing a couple more books when she passed and those adventures will never be completed.

The universe has lost a very creative and lovely author and she will be missed.

R.I.P. Vanessa.

Back home after lengthy hospitalisation

I'm back home now and recovering. Don't know what I had but chest pains and breathing difficulties were not good. They have decided it is not cardiac or lung problems, though I do have some minor Pulmonary Embolisms, but I don't need to be treated for them at the moment.

Don't think it was Corona as I was ill long before it hit the shores down here. And I haven't been around people who have been traveling.

So I will try to get back into playing and writing. I have a couple ideas of stories I thought up besides the story I am working on so I will have to sit down and work on them.

Delayed posting of chapter 10

Hi fans and interested readers,
Well Battletech the game had a massive DLC release called Heavy Metal where they added 10 new mech chassis to the game along with a bunch of new weapons and I have been bust playing around with all the new stuff and seeing how it all works.

But Poltergeist and her crew did get back to the campaign and had some fun and unfortunately got ambushed and lost a member of the company.

Now that the shiny coating has worn off the new stuff it will be easier to get back to the campaign on a more regular schedule. I hope.

And thanks for everyone who enjoy my writing.

Thanks.
Chaon.

Timing of battle events - info for non Battletech fans.

Hi,
In the Battletech game, the timing of each round of battle is very short. A full round of movement and/or combat takes a total of ten seconds.

This is why, as you read the chapters, you will notice I have each paragraph as a combat round where every mech or vehicle has moved/fired and then I move on to the next.

So battles can be completed in under a minute or stretch out to as long as 5 or even 10 minutes. That may not seem long but in the heat of battle, as combat veterans will tell you, that time can feel like hours.

I hope this helps to understand how my writing feels.

Thank you.
Chaon.
