A Story in the Greenies/A Perfect World Universe
1300 years after the Martian Revolution, mankind has developed interstellar travel and colonized surrounding star systems. Back on Earth, however, those who were left behind live squalid, superstitious lives. A new story from me, it takes place in an updated version of the Greenies/A Perfect World universe. / (Reviews)
A story about neighbors, good and bad... and some that are the very best. And then there's Maggie, who espouses religion while she fucks her neighbor and folds his laundry.
A man having marital troubles finds himself vacationing alone in Hawaii as part of a workplace tourgroup. While there, he and a coworker visit the famous landmark. The rest is history.
This is a piece of autobiographical fiction about my time as a paramedic working in one of the worst neighborhoods in my region. Like Eric Townsend in the story, I worked this assignment because I needed a particular schedule, and like Eric, I experienced a profound epiphany in the squalor. The first of hopefully twenty or so chapters, though the Intemperance novels are still my primary priority so posting will not be as frequent.
The trials, tribulations, and debauchery of the fictional 1980s rock band Intemperance as they rise from the club scene to international fame. / (Reviews)
A few people have expressed interest in how I keep track of all the characters in the Intemperance story. The answer is the character sheet that contains the names, birth years, and basic background of all characters that require a backstory of some kind. For those that are interested, I post it here. There are a few in there from Book VIII, but nothing that will be a spoiler. Not all characters were worked up and some details were changed from my original vision of them.
The continuing adventures of Jake Kingsley, Matt Tisdale, Nerdly Archer, and the other members of the rock band Intemperance. Now that they are big successes, pulling in millions of dollars and known everywhere as the band that knows how to rock, how will they handle their success? This is not a stand-alone novel. If you haven't read the first Intemperance you will not know what is going on in this one. / (Reviews)
The long awaited third book in the Intemperance series. Celia, Jake, Nerdly, and Pauline form KVA Records to independently record and release solo albums. They are hampered, however, by a lack of backing musicians for their efforts, have no recording studio to work in, and, even if this can be overcome, will still have to deal with the record companies in order for their final efforts to be heard.

Book number four in the long running narrative of the members of the 1980s rock band Intemperance, their friends, family members, and acquaintances. It is now the mid-1990s. Jake Kingsley and Matt Tisdale are in their mid-thirties and truly enjoying the fruits of their success, despite the fact that Intemperance has been broken up for several years now. Their lives, though still separate, seem to be in order. But is that order nothing more than an illusion?
Book V is widely considered the best of the series, including by myself, as lots of major events in the lives of Jake, Celia, and Matt occur, bringing them all into increasing contact with each other. Jake and Matt are both booked for the same music festival. Celia learns to deal with her divorce from Greg in several ways. Matt comes to the attention of men in suits. Jake and Laura find a way to make their marriage stronger.
