WWII Alternate history. Suppose Sir Geoffrey Pike's "ice ships" -- floating aircraft carriers carved out of icebergs -- had been put into service in 1944 in the Battle of the Atlantic. Aboard one of these ships, there would be plenty of opportunity for hanky-panky.
John is a thirty-something wastrel, living in his mother's basement. Then, a stroke of luck, and a lot of nagging lands him the rarest arcade game of all time. He thinks it will change his life, and finally show his mother that games are for real. However, John has no idea just how much it will change his life.
Maggie has her niece Kellie, and twin niece and nephew for two weeks. Cody's made everyone's life miserable since they arrived midweek. Something different is about to unfold in Maggie's backyard pool, Saturday morning, however; something no one could anticipate, or stop. It leaves Maggie and her niece's naked and confused the rest of the day; Cody, simply confused. Throw Maggie's neighbor's son Henry into the mix, and anything can happen.
Faye starts out her Monday morning missing all of her bras. She suspects her brother of mischief, only to discover that she's got a lot more to worry about than her missing bras. A whole lot more. She won't be going to school today, after all. And it's not aliens.
A story about intolerance. Be advised that the "sex" described in this story is leech sex, different from normal sex, AND that this story is an allegory with an important moral.
Inspired by the Greek myth. I'm not sure how to catagorize this one - one friend called it fantasy, another called it horror. If anyone has any useful ideas, please feel free to comment.
