From the dark and deep corners of a shallow mind surfaced a short story from my 311 Creative Writing Class in College. I had no idea I remembered it. It shuffled out tonight, captured my fingers and improved itself. I got an A+

Dex, the fourteen-year-old mulatto slave boy a New Orleans gambler wins and uses for sex starts out for California with the gambler in the gold rush era. When Indians attack their stage coach outside Laramie, Wyoming, Dex is thrown off the stage and is gang banged by the Indians before being saved by a hunky French fur trapper with an appetite for fourteen-year-old boys.
