A Widows Story
Electives is the second story in the Widows series. Timewise, it overlaps 'Picking up the pieces' by a year, and some of the same characters appear in both stories.

From the first time I saw her, I knew that I had to have her. Over the years, my obsession with the single mother grew increasingly insane until I knew that the only cure was to take her.

When Tom's mother broke her leg all his holiday plans were ruined, nursing his mother was not what this teenager wanted to be doing. Then something happened to improve his situation.

Halloween 2024
On a band trip to New Orleans he stopped into a hole-in-the-wall shop, where an old woman offered to sell him a little bottle of Love Potion #9. He was a high school student who had a crush on his geometry teacher and, just for fun, at the Halloween dance, he spiked her punch. Except instead of only two drops, as the old woman had instructed him, his nervousness caused him to dump half the bottle. It was the best Halloween night of his life, and October 31st was never the same again.
