This story is not erotic and there is minimal sex, if you can call it that. I hope it is romantic, in its own way. It is more a study where the feeling and symptoms are taken from actual case studies about this problem and are all put into one story. Since I have been there and done that, I knew what I was looking for. So there is no one person named Kara -- she is a compilation of hundreds of case studies I read about on sites for this type of problem as background.
I wanted to include this story along with my reposting of The Sun Also Rises. I tend to carry over characters from story-to-story. And I know that it can be confusing when people from prior stories appear in the middle of new ones. Especially if a lot of time has passed as is the case here. This was written over a year after the Sun Also Rises. I wanted to explore the theme of infidelity between people who are essentially made for each other. The title is from a Hemingway short story.

Bill, as he progresses from a non student to college professor to idiot. Sub title could be the Watches Revenge. You know me...not a lot of sex...other folks write it better. Everybody ends up in this story. Not that it's the end...of everybody.
