Jess and I settled back and relaxed, we discussed how things had all come together at the store and kicked around a few ideas for the future. We lunched on the leftover ham with a salad that Jess had conjured up; we then sat out in the sun room with a couple of beers and stuffed our faces.

After a while Jess went into the kitchen and returned carrying a couple of glasses and a bottle of Purple Para, a distinctively Australian wine with a deep purple hue and a very meaty consistency, "beer's ok but after a few it goes straight through me, anyway wine is more genteel," she chuckled, "how about some music Jimmy, put a stack of records on the changer and let's sit back and enjoy the occasion."

I selected a mixture of records, some lively and some romantic. Once the player started I collected my glass and sat back down. Jess started to tell me some of the more memorable things I had done while growing up, the record changed and a romantic melody filled the air, "come on Jimmy dance this one with me." I didn't know if I could dance so I told her so, "Jimmy I taught both you and Jenny to dance when you were kids so come on give it a go."

I stood and Jess melted into my arms, I stood about two inches taller than her, and we fitted perfectly.
