It was getting late now.

Outside the late afternoon shadows were lengthening.

Neither Desiree, Rosie nor Sonya however, had thought of leaving ‘The Paragon’ Café quite yet.

For one thing, Bernadette had not yet telephoned to inform them that it was safe to return to ‘The Heights’ now.

Nor had Sergeant Bernadette Woodville joined them at ‘The Paragon’ Cafe either...?

Alone with her thoughts nonetheless, ‘Trainee’ Constable Sonya L’Estrange stared at the front door in silence – she had ‘cum’ earlier but now felt a sudden sense of melancholy and self-doubt over all that had occurred in the last two weeks. The young policewoman had knotted her uniform shirt about her waist just as Rosie had done.

She owed them all a debt of gratitude that she felt sure, that she’d never be able to repay.

Sonya felt like she was alone. It was almost like she was miles from anywhere and quite isolated as she stared at the front door of ‘The Paragon’ Café in silence – her appointment to the ‘Women Police’ had been a godsend, and she knew it. For almost two weeks, she had felt happy and self-fulfilled.

The young policewoman had not felt so good about herself or her career with the Victoria Police, since graduating from the ‘Police Training Academy’ some three months earlier. Yet, she knew deep within herself, that she had now betrayed both Sergeant Bernadette Woodville and all the policewomen at ‘The Heights’ - the smirking ‘Undercover Policewoman’ over by the window, seemed to know it too...

Rosie remained seated on the next table.

With her left foot resting on the chair nearest to Sonya and her right dangling about thirty centimetres from the polished floor, the ‘Miss Victoria Police’ was happy to just watch what was happening – her trim dark-blue uniform skirt had slid up her thigh as she relaxed on top of the table. Not that she cared.

She had just witnessed ‘Headjob Hanna’ with Sonya. That had been fun.

And, she had just watched Sonya with ‘Headjob Hanna’ and Sabrina Morgan too. Rosie had enjoyed that too.

The former ‘Poster Girl’ for the Victoria Police, had no doubt that Desiree and her girlfriend were now ‘fingering’ each other under the table as well – sheer non-regulation stockings and no panties, Senior Constable Rosie Sullivan offering her ‘pussy’ as she enjoyed another cup of coffee. The younger policewoman, however, seemed distracted...

“Isn’t that Paula...?” enquired Desiree.

Saying nothing, Sonya nodded.

When she’d come through the door after Desiree and Rosie, she had recognised the woman sitting on her own – stepping to one site a short time later to allow Alison to return to the counter, Sonya had grimaced when the ‘Undercover Policewoman’ had winked at her,

“Detective Paula Robertson huh...?”

“What she doing here, Sonya...?” Desiree wondered – the young policewoman shrugged.

“Paula...?” queried Charlotte.

‘Headjob Hanna’ Monaghan and ‘Charlotte the Harlot’ D’Urberville had taken little notice of the ‘twenty-something’ blonde by the front window. They knew most of the local policewomen.

But, Charlotte and Hanna didn’t know a Detective Constable Paula Robertson...?

And that worried the prostitute in particular. She had been working for ‘The Countess’ long enough to know that plainclothes policewomen were not to be really trusted – that included Detective Sergeant Dominique Galloway from the local St. Albans Criminal Investigation Branch.

Sabrina Morgan glanced across at the ‘Undercover Policewoman’ – she knew Detective Sergeant Dominique Galloway as well, but had no idea who this Detective Constable Paula Robertson was either...? And so, she was just as concerned as Charlotte.

The two prostitutes looked over at Paula again.

“Detective Constable Paula Robertson...” confirmed Sonya in a whisper.

The prostitutes shrugged. They’d heard the name in passing but didn’t know the ‘Undercover Policewoman’...

“S-So...?”

Pausing, Sabrina leaned closer to Sonya – the young policewoman’s uniform shirt had been unbuttoned almost to her waist, revealing her small but firm breasts. But the twenty-two-year-old had knotted it ‘halter style’ a few minutes before. Sonya’s nipples were hard. And, the once crisp pale-blue fabric clung to her moist skin,

“What’s she doing here, Sonya?” Sabrina asked – she found it disconcerting to have some ‘Undercover Policewoman’ as a witness to what they were doing in ‘The Paragon’ Café,

“I don’t really know...?” confessed Sonya.

And she didn’t...?

Sabrina glanced at Desiree and Charlotte - she then looked at Hanna with a concerned look,

“But, what’s she doing here, Constable L’Estrange?” asked Charlotte – Desiree had no idea...?

Undeterred by the ‘Undercover Policewoman’ sitting nearby, she continued to ‘finger’ her girlfriend.

“From what little I can tell,” Sonya replied, “She’s having a quiet cup of coffee like we are, sweetie?”

“She’s nothing to worry about, Charlotte...” the young policewoman assured the prostitute with a nervous smile.

Desiree shook her head slowly.

She had no idea why Paula Robertson was at the ‘Paragon’ Cafe...?

But, she felt sure that it had nothing to do with either her or Sonya.

Neither did she think the ‘Undercover Policewoman’ was interested in Rosie either...

‘Who is she then...?” enquired Hanna inquisitively. Desiree shrugged.

Charlotte was a prostitute. She was not the sort of girlfriend, Senior Constable Desiree Blake would’ve been able to meet for a coffee anywhere but the ‘Paragon’ Cafe.

Certainly, ‘Charlotte the Harlot’ would never have been welcome at the ‘Victoria Police Club’ in McKenzie Street, Melbourne. But then again, neither would’ve ‘Headjob Hanna’ Monaghan.
