After a long night, Donatello forced himself out of bed and headed to the police station to talk to Fernando. Even though he didn’t want to see Fernando, he had questions. He had to look into his eyes.
After going through security checks, he sat across from the monster that killed his aunt. Fernando looked tormented. He looked worn around the edges.
“Why did you do it?” Donatello questioned him with disgust.
“There’s a lot you don’t understand. And I don’t have much time. I’ve prayed and asked God for forgiveness. My soul will be at peace when I leave this earth.”
Donatello rolled his eyes.
“Katherine was a bad woman. She had me kill those people—”
“You knew it was wrong. So why?”
“At first, I thought it was love. Then I realized that Katherine was a great manipulator. Things happened to her when she was a child. Her father wasn’t a nice person. She’s lived with that guilt, that shame.”
“My Abuelo?”
“Your biological abuelo. He was murdered. Katherine killed her father. Her mother went to prison for it and she was later taken to Zaragoza to live with the Robles’.”
“You lie.”
“No. It’s true. I’m sure if you think long and hard ... you will find that what I’m saying is plausible,” he said as his eyes began to roll.
Donatello eyed him, “What’s wrong with you?”
He laughed uneasily and responded, “It’s starting. It’s the beginning of the end; you all are free now. She’s gone.”
He shook his head, “If what you say is true ... why kill people the people who took her in?”
“She was obsessed with a Manzini, Vincenzo. She met him years ago in Zaragoza. They had a few nights of fun. She became pregnant, and she thought she could have a life with him. She was delusional. The Robles wouldn’t let her keep the child. She was supposed to give it away for adoption. She attempted to take the boy to see Vincenzo, but Senor Robles and Juan stopped her. Juan decided to raise you as his own, and she was able to marry Adan.”
Donatello was in a haze as hundreds of moments flashed in his mind. All the questions he used to ask. How no one would ever give him straight answers.
Fernando began to gag as foam oozed from his mouth. Donatello backed away, “Guards!” he yelled.
They ran over. Soon the place was turned upside down as they rushed to help Fernando, but he was already on his way to another realm.
Donatello messaged Nyla, “I need to see you. Please.”
His whole life had been a lie. How did he make it to his mid-thirties without knowing any of it? The people he trusted and loved the most. Juan wasn’t his father; Katherine wasn’t his aunt ... she was his mother.
Now, he had a sister. Bianca, where is she? He wondered as he drove with determination to see Nyla. His phone rang multiple times. He knew Sky had questions, but he needed to seek comfort. He needed to be at peace. He needed to be where his light shined brightest.
He parked in the driveway and hurried to the door. When it opened, she saw the troubled look on his face. She invited him in. Almost instantly, he kissed her mouth with tears streaming from his face.
She wiped them away with her thumbs, “What’s wrong?” she asked with deep concern.
“I need you,” he confessed.
They kissed wildly until articles of clothes were left on the floor; there in the living room, on the sofa, he lay behind her stroking. His cock was coated in her sweet nectar. He felt at home. Nothing made sense, but at that moment, she made sense.
He kissed her mouth sweetly and stroked so nicely that she cried out and gasped. He continued and burst while panting, “I love you,” I don’t want to lose you. I don’t want to lose any of you.”
“Why are you saying this?” she asked.
“I know who I am. I finally get it. I understand why my life, at times, felt incomplete.”
“Tell me.”
“I can’t right now. I promise. I will tell you soon. I’ll be busy for a few days; I wanted to see you before I take care of some things. And I promise when it’s all done, I’ll put that part of my life behind me.”
When Donatello returned home, Sky met him in the living room, “I’ve been calling you.”
He nodded, “I was at the police station.”
“All this time?”
“Fernando is dead. He confessed to me everything about my, my, Katherine.”
“Everything?”
“Yes.”
Her face was puzzled but he didn’t look upset. So, she waited for his outburst. He told her the details. At the end of it, she breathed a little easier. She hugged him tightly, “We’ll get through this, together.”
The doorbell sounded. They looked at each other and then he went to get the door. It opened. It was Bianca with Jake. He looked at her. He saw her baby bump. She dove into his arms, “I’m so glad you’re okay,” she said to him.
“I’m glad you’re okay.”
“Come in,” he said to them both, “This is my friend Sky.”
She waved at them, “I’ll go start on dinner,” she said before leaving him to talk.
“I hope you don’t mind if Jake and I stay here a little while until things settle.”
“Of course not, make yourselves at home.”
They had a lengthy discussion about everything that transpired. They had to plan a funeral for their mother.
A woman tormented by her past. A woman driven to provide a better future for her daughter while facing the guilt of never being able to openly love her son. The funeral was sad. They took her remains back to Zaragoza, Spain. It was done.
Back in London, another funeral took place. Emilio didn’t have relatives. He had them. They were his family. Learning about the death of their friend left them sad for days. They didn’t understand why a man named Fernando killed him and later took his life while in jail.
It was a mystery and no one would give them full details. Only time would reveal the truth. They all pitched in to ensure his homegoing was as beautiful as it could be for such a sad occasion.
As they stood outside, Nigel couldn’t help but notice a familiar face. His blood started to boil. His mother touched his arm, “Try not to get upset and remember that he was her friend too.” She walked away with Amy toward the car.
His mind flashed to the phone call his mother made to him about Miriam showing up at her house confessing that she made a lot of mistakes regarding both him and Amy and wanted to make things right.
His mother gave her an earful when Miriam stated she wanted to tell Amy who she was but she forbade it, “She is well. She is at peace. You will not wreak havoc in her life because you’ve suddenly had some fucking ah-ha moment.”
Miriam left licking her wounds and remained at a distance with a broken heart.
As he stood there, Emily touched his arm, “Are you ready?” she asked.
He nodded. They left the cemetery.
The days following the funeral, Sky was there. She insisted that Donatello allow her to be his source. As they lay in bed, her hand caressed his chest, “You don’t have to run to her. I’m here. I was thinking we could make things official. I would love to have a baby.”
His eyes lit up, “Really?”
She smiled, “You like that idea?”
He nodded, “I do. I’m ready to move on. You’ve been great Sky. I just feel like I have to tell them. They know Bianca. She warned them before. It’s only a matter of time before they figure it out.”
She sighed in aggravation. “I suppose you’re right but I’m just worried that you could lose access to them. They might think you were in on it.”
“Why would they think that? I had no idea. Bianca will vouch for me. Plus, I want to get to know my biological father.”
She gave a half smile, “Okay. Just give them some time. They are still dealing with the death of Emilio.”
“You’re right.”
They laid back. He fell asleep but her mind was busy. She thought about the night Emilio came home frantically explaining what he heard and how moments later, Fernando kicked in the door and killed Emilio in front of her.
Fernando looked into her terrified eyes and told her to help him get rid of the body. That night she became an unwilling accomplice but after she was taken to see La Patrona, she became more interested in the plot.
She didn’t have anything against Vincenzo or Gio but she did hate that Donatello was so wrapped up in Nyla.
As Sky lay in bed, she realized slumber would not visit her any time soon. She grabbed her cell phone and went to the kitchen. She made a call, “I’m ready to take the next step.”
Bianca entered the kitchen in search of a snack, “You’re up late.”
“Yeah, couldn’t sleep.” She looked at Bianca’s belly, “Donatello and I are going to work on having a baby.”
Bianca smiled, “Nice. Jake and I are excited about our little one.”
“That’s so good,” she stretched and let a yawn escape, “I guess I’m finally sleepy.”
Bianca watched her suspiciously as she left the kitchen. She heard her conversation. She had seen Sky acting strangely on several occasions. Having obscure vague conversations in secret.
The next morning, she had a conversation with Donatello about it, “I don’t trust Sky. And you shouldn’t either.”
His face cracked, “Bianca.”
“Seriously, we have a term that we use in the USA in pop culture, sus. She’s sus.”
He chuckled, “Look Sherlock Holmes, I understand that you have been through a lot and so have I but let’s not look for problems where none exist.” He kissed her forehead.
Jake came into the kitchen, “Hey man thanks for letting us stay here. I found a job. We should be able to get our spot in a few months.”
“Stay here as long as you like. It’s a big house. I have to get going.”
They watched as he left. Bianca looked at Jake, “I’m telling you; I don’t trust her. She’s up to something and I’m going to figure out what it is.”
“B, no. Just be cool. You’re pregnant,” he fussed. She remained silent as he looked into her eyes. He kissed her mouth, “I have to get to work. Remember, be cool.”
“Yeah, yeah, be cool.”
“Yes, yes, yes, just like that,” she moaned in sweet delight. Gio lay behind her. The fast was over. He was ready to resume their normal sexual activities. Her mouth opened and he pushed his tongue inside.
Erick lay by her side toying with her gem. His fingertip polished in tiny circles slowly. He felt it swell and harden. With two fingers, he rubbed it until moisture sprayed from her. He loved when she squirted. He was ready for a turn. He lay back and waited for Nyla to mount him and Gio pushed his way into his ass stroking away.
“Oh god, fuck yes!” he exclaimed.
After a wonderful morning, the happy three met in the kitchen for breakfast. Gio asked Nyla to marry him. She was shocked but he explained to her that it was important to make things legal. They agreed to a small ceremony that would occur in a week.
“I hope Donatello is okay,” she stated with concern. She mentioned to the guys that he came over and that he appeared to be troubled.
