Chapter 62

I had almost finished my dinner when I got there, and saw her car in the drive so parked next to it and went to knock on the door. Gina opened it right before I did, and quickly had me come inside. There was a small table with four chairs on the other side of the kitchen, and she told me to have a seat.

“OK, who in the hell exactly are you, George? And don’t tell me you had nothing to do with me getting hired there.”

I sighed, and looked right into her eyes and told her the truth. That Linda was almost an aunt, and she had been engaged to my brother many years ago. But that had actually ended when she got into drugs and porn. That I had rented a guest house when I first moved to LA, and Mary and Dani lived there in the main house. And I had met Rocco and the others because I was a pilot, and had flown them all up to Oroville for a shoot back then.

“Honestly, I did not know for ages that they were in porn. Mary and I had a fling back then, but I think that was mostly for her. Dani I did work with later, but professionally as my brother had a documentary made for an airplane he rebuilt. And Dani was brought in to sing some of the songs in French.”

At that she nodded, and seemed a bit less hostile. “Now one thing both my brother and dad took ages to try and teach me, is to go to somebody else if I feel troubled. And the truth is, what Lucy did to the two of us disgusted me. I don’t know about you, but I had the hots for you and she knew that. And I think she got a thrill out of knowing what we would be doing and keeping it a secret. Then later on shoving it in our faces. That entire thing bothered me, so I got ahold of Mary.”

“Wait, you got ahold of Mary? Why her?”

“Well, at that time I could not go to Linda. She had no idea what I had done. But when I asked Mary, both she and Dani told me about Lucy. She is manipulative, a bit sadistic, and likes to use others. Well, by the end of the night several things happened. Mary encouraged me to quit, which I was glad to because after that last time we were here I never wanted to see Lucy again. She also had me tell her the name you used, and watched the clip of the video.”

She slowly nodded at that, so I continued. “Well, she liked what she saw. So got ahold of Rocco, and he thought the same thing. That is when she was suggested to try and meet you there and recruit you.”

“Well, that’s pretty much what happened. She came in Monday night, and we got to talking. I told her I had danced before, but was not very good at it so am only a waitress now. She came back the next night, which surprised me. After all, seeing women there more than once a week is rare. Well, she asked me to join her when I had a break. And I did so, as I admit I was a bit curious.”

“Why, what did you expect?”

She grinned at me at that. “Honestly, I expected her to make a pass at me. Would not be the first time that had happened, just one of the rare times it would be from a girl. However, she told me she worked for the company that did the Silver Family Chronicles and Precious Moments. She outright told me she had been told about me, and seen my previous video.” I shook my head at that, but she continued. “She then asked me if I could use the accent I did there again, and I did it. It was not hard to do, my mom’s from Korea so I just copied her accent.”

And when I nodded, she continued. “Well, she then said that Rocco was interested in me, and if I wanted to give the business a try with a real company. And well, the rest just happened really fast. I met Rocco on Wednesday, did my first shoot on Friday. Today was my second shoot.”

“So you are not going to do another one of those other videos?”

At that she did smile, and shook her head. “Nope, in fact I quit the club on Friday. Lucy was there, and I told her I was not doing the shoot. She was absolutely livid when I told her.”

“Well, you just cost her at least $500. She gets paid for each guy or gal she gets to appear in those videos. For me she got $50.””

Gina shook her head at that, and said she had no idea. “Well, what Rocco offered me each month was more than I made at the club, and less work. I was not planning on quitting the club, actually. I was going to do both, but when Lucy tore into me when I told her I was not doing it anymore and where I was going to be working, I guess I realized the same thing you did. That it would be absolutely toxic trying to work with her after that. Especially as if one of us would have to go, it would be me.”

“Why, what do you mean there? Why you? She’s just a cashier.”

Gina looked at me at that, and shook her head. “George, you don’t know? She’s been Ben’s side piece there for a couple of years now. Some of the times I came in to replace her at the register, she was not dancing for a customer. She was really in the office fucking Ben.”

“Well, how would I know that? I was in the DJ booth most of the time, I can’t see where somebody goes once they enter the back hallway.”

“Yes, that’s true. But I think everybody else knew that. Well, when I went to cash and tip out, I told Ben I quit. I simply said I found a better paying job, and it was nothing against him or the club.”

She then told me she made as much as she normally did in a week doing a single shoot for Rocco. “Oh, and it was kinda cool. The setting was this guy named Terry picked me up as I was waiting for a bus, then took me to his apartment. Which was really an apartment that Rocco uses for shoots. And it was about what you would expect, about three hours and a lot of fucking. And in the end, Rocco promised me at least that much twice a month. And a lot more if he could use me in more. Then this morning he and Sherry met with me, and made me the offer for the new series they want to do. I guess you are involved in that also, as you were there at the meeting.”

I asked her if she was familiar with the series they did before, and she smiled and nodded. “Oh yes, the Silver Family. My old boyfriend actually got me into that. He had their subscription service, we would watch them as soon as they were released.”

“Well, remember the one with them on vacation on a houseboat? Well, I was the pilot that flew them up there for that. That’s when I had a brief fling with Mary, and got to know Sherry and Rocco.”

“But you were just a pilot. Why would they take something serious from you?”

“Well, when I met Mary and Dani they told me they were stuck on how to follow the Silver Family series. That one was over, it had run long past it’s time. But they did not want to just repeat it with a new cast. So I suggested they change it up a bit. Make it a comedy, like one of those sitcoms from the 1970s. A lot of it’s from ‘Three’s Company’, with a few others thrown in. And instead of playing with incest, make it about interracial sex. That’s why it’s going to have a black guy, you, and a Latina as roomies. And Mary and Dani are the owners of the building.”

“OK, but why me?”

I smiled at her at that, and took a chance. I reached out and rested my hand on the back of hers. “Gina, because when the idea of interracial came up I suggested you. Ultimately, we all talked for about three more hours pitching ideas. The character of Bae was already set, even if they decided to not use you. Mary and Dani both liked the idea. And when they pitched it to Rocco and Sherry, he knew that was not all their idea and got from them. Sherry finally got Mary to admit that I had proposed that.”

“OK, but how does Linda fit into all of this?”

At that I sighed. “OK, have you ever heard of an actress from when we were kids named ‘Holly Wood’? Well, that’s Linda.”

I saw her scrunch her eyebrows at that, then her eyes opened wide. “Wait, a short blonde with huge titties? That’s Linda?”

“Yep, that was when she had implants. Well, she got out of the industry a long time ago. But one of the last things she did was propose the Silver Family series. She also still writes for Rocco. Most of the Precious Moment’s series is her, and she still writes for him and others. Has a lot of awards, and she’s been named the show runner and script head for this.”

At that she stood up and offered me a beer, and I accepted. She got two out of the fridge, then asked if I would join her in the main room where it was more comfortable. I joined her, and when I mentioned that I had dinner with Linda and Sherry before the holiday, she asked me how in the hell that happened.

“Well, Linda and Sherry were lovers for several years. In fact, her daughter which I consider my cousin is named ‘Sherry’. And Sherry’s daughter is named Linda. Rocco and Sherry asked Linda what she thought of the idea, and she loved it. Then Sherry told her my involvement. Aunt Linda was actually upset at first that I got involved in porn, especially one like that. But when she understood how much that had disgusted me she was glad.”

“George, are you disgusted with me?” Gina softly asked.

“No, not at all! Trust me there. I felt some disgust when you told me you were going to do another one, but it was not personal but that choice. And now you are not going to do it, so it’s all good.”

She told me that she had enjoyed parts of it, other than how it was all done. And that she had gotten a thrill out of it. “I mean, I had done that with four guys before then.” She saw the look of amazement on my face and laughed. “George, not all at once! As in four guys, total. And I did more than four times that many in a single day.”
