Chapter 17

Mikayla and I eventually did stop making out, only because the bell rang for the end of lunch.

“Meet me at the lockers, I can drive you home if you like?” I offered.

“That’s super sweet but I have my own car today. Still meet me there though, I’d like a goodbye kiss.” She smiled. We walked back into school, holding hands and then went our seperate ways. We weren’t an official couple but I was firmly taking myself off the market. No more messing around with Niamh or Briana. I would be tell them as much as well.

“SHANE!!” I heard Joel shout for me at the end of the day. “Where the hell have you been man? I was worried you died of a hangover.” He joked and pulled me into a hug.”

“I’m sorry bro ... I’ve actually got so much to tell you!” I told him, not hiding my massive grin.

“Yeah you and me both!” He grinned back.

“You first!” I said to him.

“It’s even better if I show you!” He said as he looked around, looking for someone. “Sienna, babe, over here.” He called, waving her over.

“Babe?” I asked with a smirk. I watched as Sienna came over with a warm smile on her face.

“Hi Shane!” She greeted me as she then gave Joel a kiss on the lips.

“Hello Sienna...” I smiled broadly and winked at Joel. He finally shot his shot and it worked.

“So yeah, I asked Sienna to be my girlfriend on Friday and as you can tell she said yes.” Joel beamed.

“Sienna, blink twice if it was a drunk accident.” I side said to her.

“Broooo” Joel whined.

“Oh, no accident Shane. This one just took forever to final make his move. I thought my crush on him was so obvious.” Sienna said hugging into her new boyfriend. It was really nice to see. I don’t think I’ve seen Joel this happy.

“Well you know, bachelors life and all that.” Joel joked.

“Uh huh sure, I’ll let you keep thinking you’re all that macho man type but I know the real you.” She said with a peck on his cheek.

“I’m very happy for you both!” I said to them.

“Thanks bro” Joel replied. “What was your news??”

“Um well ideally I wanted to tell you alone...” I started.

“I can leave you guys? Bro codes and all that.” Sienna said.

“No no don’t worry Sienna. You will hear about it soon no doubt. So long story short, Mikayla and I kissed on Friday night. I was super drunk and went home with Kayleigh, the alumni girl, we had sex...”

“My man!!” Joel said holding up his hand for a high five. It wasn’t a high five moment but I couldn’t keep him hanging.

“It’s not ideal though ... so I thought hard about it and it was nothing but a drunken fling. The kiss with Mikayla meant so much more to me. So I came clean to her.”

“Ah ... how did she take it?” Joel asked. Sienna didn’t say anything but her face whinced like she new I was gonna give bad news.

“Well really well actually ... we are dating now...” I told them. Both their jaws dropped.

“Wait wait, hold up!” Joel said, breaking away from Sienna. “You told a girl you like that you fucked an other chick and it resulted in you saying her?”

“That’s exactly it.” A voice said that wasn’t my own. Joel froze as Mikayla came and stood by my side. She actually hugged into me and kissed me on the cheek. “That’s pretty much exactly how it happened.”

“Um Hi Mikayla, we were just talking about ... you know ... sorry.” He cringed.

“So I’ll speak for him since he has his foot in his mouth.” Sienna giggled. “What my idiot boyfriend probably won’t get is that Shane started things with honesty and bared all his feelings?”

“Yes he did and I admired him for that. He knew the risk but did it anyway. Signs of a real man.” Mikayla replied to Sienna but glanced to me at the end.

“So are you guys a couple now?” Joel asked.

“Yes and no.” Mikayla responded while looking at me for reassurance and I nodded.

“I haven’t asked her to by my girlfriend yet as I feel a lot has happened but I’ll be telling Niamh to keep her hands to herself.” I joked.

“Yeah she better or she will have to deal with me.” Mikayla said in a playful fighting voice.

“Oh I’m sure Niamh will survive, you know how she is.” Sienna giggled. “Talking of Niamh I’m going to her house after school so need to go find her.”

“I’ll walk you babe.” Joel said to his new girlfriend before mouthing to me that we would talk later. I nodded to him and we all said our goodbyes.

“It’s about time he made his move, Sienna has went on about him for ages but she was too stubborn to make the first move.” Mikayla said as she hooked her arm into mine.

“He was too stubborn as well, I’m glad a bit of alchohol gave him that final push.” I said as we made our way out the school. I could feel the looks and hear the whispers as other students looked at us.

“So where about are you parked?” I asked as we headed towards the school parking lot.

“Oh it’s just over here.” She nodded and we kept walking. We were walking right for my car as well. We then stopped right in front of my car.

“Um this is my car? Thought you had your own?” I asked dumbly. “I do, it’s right next to yours!” She said pointing to the white Mercedes C Class coupe that was parked next to my black Range Rover.

“Did you park there on purpose?” I asked.

“Maybe” she giggled a little.
