The Story swept him away, the way it sweeps away any pitiful epigone! And the fact that he arbitrarily increased the number of chapters only helped me! Had he curbed his appetite, had he stopped at Chapter 10, as I wanted, I would never have returned to the Story by this miracle! But the Tragedian tasted strength and power and decided to go further, past the proper ending.
