Marcus didn’t see Mina for a few days after the blowjob. It wasn’t that he was actively avoiding her or anything; he wasn’t going out of his way to steer clear of wherever she might be. He just didn’t seek her out. He avoided calling or texting or inviting her to lunch or any other of their usual activities.

He needed a little time away from her to get his head together.

Fortunately, Mina seemed to understand this, and wasn’t going out of her way to contact him either. She wasn’t sending him a bunch of texts asking him where he was or why he hadn’t been talking to her. She was allowing him his space, and Marcus appreciated that.

Sooner or later, though, he was going to have to confront her. And they were going to have to work this out.

In the meantime, Marcus spent his days chilling with his other friends on campus. He played basketball with the guys, he played Call of Duty in his room, he focused on his studies, and generally went about his life in all the normal ways he could think of that didn’t involve contacting Mina.

The weekend came and went. Marcus spent a few evenings cramming for his tests, and was just getting to a place where Mina was the farthest thing from his mind when he happened to run into her in the school library on Tuesday.

He’d been thinking how aggravating it was, having to start a research project for one class on the same week he had one of the biggest tests of the semester in another, when he rounded the stack of books in the psychology section and found her standing there, thumbing through the exact book he’d been looking for. “Oh, Mina,” he said a little stiffly.

She looked up from the open book she was holding and smiled warmly. “Hey Marcus.”

“That’s ... uh...” he gestured vaguely at the book in her hands.

Mina looked down at it and back up at him, and took on an understanding look. “You want to share this one?” she offered.

That was so not a good idea, he thought. That was bound to lead to all kinds of trouble.

She lowered her gaze, as if a little impatient with him. “I promise not to take advantage of you.”

He made a sound that was both a sigh and a laugh. “I think I’ll just find another book on the subject,” he said, and started to move around another stack.

He was just starting to peruse the selection, hoping he could find something comparable to what Mina had been holding while contemplating if he should just forget the library and stick to researching on Wikipedia, when she appeared again around the other side of the stacks. “Marcus, come on!” she complained. “I’ve given you space, but this is getting stupid! You don’t have to run the other way when you see me!”

“You really want to do this now?” he asked, gesturing to their surroundings.

“Good a time as any,” she said. “No one goes to the fourth floor here, so...”

That statement wasn’t entirely true. Yes, the fourth floor of the library was mostly deserted, containing collections of dusty old volumes that nobody had checked out in ages. But the fact that it got so little traffic meant that it was a popular spot for students looking for a private place to sneak off for an impromptu nooner without being interrupted. It also was a good place for them to have the conversation he’d been purposely avoiding for several days.

Or, possibly, for her to drag him into an impromptu nooner without being interrupted.

After thinking about it briefly, he decided he might as well risk that possibility and get this much needed talk over with. He set his mouth into a thin line and jerked his head toward the stairwell.

They climbed the few flights of stairs to the fourth floor, and Marcus was relieved to find that this wasn’t one of the few occasions when someone else had the same idea to seek privacy in this dusty ghost floor. Marcus himself had never made use of the fourth floor’s more unsavory purpose, as he couldn’t honestly say he’d ever been desperate enough for a quick bang that he’d had to resort to this place that had no comfortable place to lie down and was likely to get dust in your ass crack if you did.

They stopped in front of the windows that looked out over the campus, where Marcus finally turned to face Mina. “All right,” he said. “Let’s have it out.”

“Marcus, I’m sorry if I’ve made you uncomfortable. That’s the last thing I want to do.”

“I think we’re a little past uncomfortable now,” Marcus drawled.

“Well then where are we?” she asked, looking him right in the eyes. “Let’s answer that question. Are you gonna look me in the eye and tell me you didn’t enjoy what I did the other day?”

Marcus didn’t answer right away. Of course he wasn’t going to lie to her by saying that, but she had to know that wasn’t the point. “You know what you did was all kinds of messed up,” he said.

“According to who?” Mina shrugged, giving him a much more serious look than the one she usually wore. “Just because we’re cousins? Because someone somewhere told you that kind of thing between relatives is wrong? I call bullshit. We’re consenting adults, we’re not harming anyone, we can do what we want. And this,” she continued, moving closer to place her hands on his pectorals, “this is what I want.”

Marcus could see on her face that Mina was a hair’s breadth from leaning in to kiss him. And the part of him that wanted to let her was not small. But she was holding herself back, hovering on the precipice, gauging his response before she acted. And how was he going to respond? Was he going to pull her closer? Push her away? Both notions were waging a bloody war inside him. His hands hovered near her hips, honestly not sure what he was going to do with them.

He made himself take a step back, and her hands slipped down. But her face remained steady, not showing disappointment, as if she’d half-expected that reaction. “So ... where are you hoping to take this?” he dared to ask, wanting to hear her say it out loud, wanting no room for misunderstanding.

She took a step closer, thrusting her chest forward to strain against the thin blouse she was wearing, and gave him her smokiest eyes possible. “You want straight talk, Marcus? Okay, I’ll give it to you straight: I want to have sex with you.” And then her arms were around his waist, her breasts were molded his chest, and her abdomen was pressing against the tent forming in his pants while she stared up at him with the dictionary definition of bedroom eyes. And this time, Marcus couldn’t stop his hands from taking hold of her hips and accepting her embrace, even as he fought to stand his ground.

“Mina...” he croaked.

“And don’t try to use the ‘but it’s incest’ excuse,” she said, “because I don’t give a shit. That’s just a word. I want what I want, and don’t insult me by pretending at least some part of you doesn’t want it too. I can see it all over you right now.”

Marcus had no verbal response to this. The only sound he made was a strangled grunt as he struggled to figure out what to do. He didn’t even say anything when Mina’s hands slid up along his sides, over his chest, then up and around his neck to the back of his head.

And then, slowly enough to give him plenty of time to realize what was happening, Mina pulled him down to her lips. And Marcus didn’t stop her.

The moment Mina’s tongue touched his, it was like a dozen fireworks went off in his brain at once. For one blissful moment, all thought of wrongness and taboo fled his mind, and he surrendered himself to the pure bliss of the girl in his arms kissing him. The fact that she was his cousin became completely irrelevant; she was just pure sexuality in an alluring feminine package, and in this moment she was all his. It was a feeling that he’d known in the kiss of only one other girl in his life...

And it was the thought of that girl that made him finally tense up and step back from Mina again. He took several deep breaths, trying to get his heart under control as he ran his hands through his hair. His mind had just turned to Raven. Yes, they had their open hall pass. Yes, they saw other people on the side. Yes, he’d bedded other girls in his time apart from her, with Raven’s full knowledge and approval.

But this felt different. Mina wasn’t just another coed from one of his classes that he could hook up with to relieve the stress of studying for midterms. She was his cousin and Raven’s friend, and hooking up with her would mean something. Even if he didn’t exactly know what.

Somehow it was like Mina was able to read his mind, because the next thing she said was, “Raven’s already given me the okay for this.”

Marcus whirled on her, blinking in surprise. “What?”

Mina shifted and sighed, like she almost couldn’t believe she was telling him this. “In fact, she’s been encouraging me to seduce you for a while. If you’re worried about hurting her, you don’t have to.”

“What ... why would she...?”

“You can call her and ask her if you want,” Mina shrugged. “You can take some time to figure out how you feel. And when you’re ready, I’ll be waiting.”

And with that she turned and started back toward the stairwell, putting an extra sway in her step that purposely flexed her ass in those shorts she was wearing. She cast him a final, enticing smile over her shoulder before she disappeared from sight.

Marcus stood there, alone on that decrepit old library floor, trying to determine up from down. He was canny enough at least to realize what Mina had just done: she had offered herself to him on a silver platter, and then walked away, leaving the ball squarely in his court. She could have jumped him and taken what she wanted, and he knew he would have caved in all of three seconds and probably regretted it an hour later, but instead she was giving him time to make a decision, while leaving herself as a tempting prize dangling at the end, daring him to come and take it.

As he contemplated possible actions, there was only one that he could come up with that seemed a practical course of action: calling Raven about that little bit of information Mina had dropped. He was already pulling out his phone and getting ready to do just that, when he remembered that she was working today and wouldn’t get off for a few more hours. There was nothing to do but wait and call her later.

So he did. Marcus went through his classes and his normal routine, trying not to think about Mina too much. Of course he couldn’t keep thoughts of her out entirely, but he did the best he could to focus on the mundane.

When he checked the time in the middle of some homework he was struggling with later that afternoon and saw that it was after 5:00, he realized that Raven was finally free to talk. He set aside the textbook that had been giving him a headache and snatched up his phone. Raven answered after the second ring. “Hey babe,” her voice purred.

“Hey sexy,” he said, wanting to sound casual at first. “Been thinking about you. Especially after something ... kinda interesting that happened today.”

“Ooh, this should be good!”

Marcus paused for a beat and said, “I take it Mina hasn’t called you today yet?”

“Not today,” she said. Her voice took on an especially mischievous tone as she added, “But she did tell me about a little encounter you had last week.”

Marcus sank back in his chair and rolled his head back. “She told you about the blowjob, huh?”

“In excruciating detail.” Marcus could hear the smile in her voice. Clearly, as Mina had suggested, Raven was unbothered with him being blown by his cousin, which added credibility to Mina’s other claims. “Did you take it a step further today?” She sounded almost hopeful.

“Not quite,” Marcus said, thinking that he was starting to miss not feeling like he was in the Twilight Zone. “She just kissed me.”

“She’s good at that, isn’t she?”

He didn’t need to ask how she knew that. He could put two and two together easily enough.

“She also said something,” Marcus went on. “About you. She said you’ve actually been encouraging her to seduce me.”

“Oh! She did?” For the first time in this conversation, Marcus heard genuine surprise in Raven’s voice. “She ... wow, I didn’t expect her be that forthcoming!”

“So it’s true?”

“Well, if you really must know, yes. I do think you and Mina should hook up. And then I want to hear all the sordid details about it so I can jill myself off to them!”

Marcus blinked. Up until now, he’d been able to maintain some sense of plausible deniability, but that was quickly being snuffed out. “You’re really serious about this. You actually want me and my cousin to have sex with each other!”

“Hey, it’s hardly the most out there thing I’ve seen. If you knew half the stuff that’s been going on at your house lately...”

If she didn’t have his full and undivided attention before, she certainly had it now. “Why, what does that mean?” he asked, sitting up straighter. “What’s going on at the house?”

“Not my secret to tell,” she said coyly.

“Come on, you can’t tease me like that!”

“Sorry, I’m saying no more.”

Marcus huffed in frustration. “You know I’m gonna have to take this out on you real bad the next time I see you,” he warned.

“Oh, I’m already getting wet thinking about it. And about what you’re gonna do to Mina.”

She’d said it like it was already a foregone conclusion. Raven was honestly expecting him to fuck his cousin. “Look, I ... I just need some time to wrap my head around this,” he said.

“Of course. Take your time, babe. Mina’s not going anywhere.”

They exchanged a few more brief pleasantries before Marcus hung up. Then he spent the next several minutes just sitting there in numb silence. It was all a bit too much.

His cousin wanted to commit incest with him. And his girlfriend was encouraging him to go for it. Was this really happening?

If his homework had been difficult to focus on before, it was going to be near impossible now.

People had definitely noticed the change in Heather’s demeanor in the days since she and Zander became an item. People at school observed how she was smiling a lot more, walking with an extra spring in her step, greeting everyone she passed even if she didn’t have classes with them or even know their names. More than once the words, “Boy, there’s a girl who’s getting well laid,” or something similar, had followed in her wake.

Which, of course, she was. On a near daily basis now.

Once word got out that Zander Greenfield was the one causing that sudden boost in her spirits, that caused a fair stir in its own right. It was less of a ripple effect for people to learn that Paula was dating Lance Jeffries; Lance was already popular enough that not much changed. But nerdy, reclusive Zander Greenfield tapping a specimen of femininity like Heather Bertrand? That saw his popularity go up a few notches.

On days when all of them were free after school, their little group would typically head straight to the Greenfield house where they would spend the afternoon in Paula’s or Zander’s room having a repeat of their little foursome. During which they would usually be spied on by Bobbi and Andie, before their nosy little sisters would get horny enough that they had to retreat to Bobbi’s room and go down on each other. Whether or not Lance had noticed that they tended to have an audience when they fucked, no one had asked him yet, and he hadn’t indicated either way.

Other days they would date separately, with Paula and Heather each wanting to spend some quality alone time with their new significant others. Heather had to admit, the times she spent alone with Zander, tenderly gazing into his eyes, being held in his arms as he filled her up inside, were almost better than the wild group sessions with all four of them chasing one orgasm after another. Almost.

As exciting as all of this was, and while Heather definitely didn’t want to complain about any of it, she couldn’t help but be aware of a small imbalance in their four-way relationship, despite how fair and even they’d attempted to make it. The inescapable fact of the matter was that Paula and Zander had an undeniable bond that Heather and Lance simply didn’t, no matter how willing Paula was to share him. Paula could have the most wonderful and intimate date with Lance, and then when she went home at night, Zander would be right there in the next room able to sneak into her bed if they wanted. Heather didn’t have that luxury. Yes, there was that day that Heather had gotten off her shift at work and found Lance there, with Paula and Zander’s blessing, waiting to give her a ride home, with a little stop on the way for some car sex. That had been fun and she’d gotten some good orgasms out of it; still, not the same thing.

But she still had Andie.

Heather might not have been able to pretend she didn’t envy Paula having a brother that she could love the way she did, but Andie was more than willing to make up the difference. Hardly a day went by that Heather and her sister didn’t at some point end up naked and tonguing each other’s intimate areas, whether it was in the shower before school, in the afternoon after it, or at night before bed. Ever since that door had been opened, Andie just couldn’t get enough of it, and Heather found herself wondering why she had resisted her sister’s attempts to make this happen for so long.

It was one evening around the dinner table that Heather found that the observation of her change in demeanor was not limited to school. They were sitting down to a meal of country fried steak and pilaf when Dana said, “You’ve been looking different lately, Heather.”

Heather glanced up at her mother, her eyes widening warily. “Different? How?”

“I don’t know,” Dana said, studying her. “You just have this kind of glow around you that I haven’t seen before. I’d almost think you—”

“She has a boyfriend now!” Andie blurted out.

Kenneth stopped chewing his mouthful of steak and stared at Heather.

“Andie!” Heather shouted. Given the circumstances surrounding how it started, Heather had been unconsciously treating her new relationship as something of a secret at home.

“I knew it!” Dana said, grinning wide. “So, tell me all about him!”

“Um, well ... he’s, uh...”

“It’s Zander!” Andie piped up.

Andie!”

Dana blinked, trying to process that name. “Zander ... wait, isn’t that Paula’s brother?”

“Yes...” Heather said in a meek voice.

Dana leaned her head forward to regard Heather sharply. “You’re dating your best friend’s brother?”

Heather bashfully nodded.

“Isn’t that cool?” Andie grinned.

For several moments Dana said nothing else, but only studied Heather as she tried to digest this information. Kenneth meanwhile continued looking at her, and Heather started to wonder if that was the same bite of steak in his mouth that he’d been chewing when the news had first been dropped.

“Wow,” Dana breathed. “Are you sure ... is Paula all right with that?”

“Actually it was her idea.”

Dana showed visible surprise at this. She hadn’t met Zander many times, apart from a few instances when she’d seen him while dropping off Heather and Andie at school, or when Zander had stopped by the house to pick up Paula and Bobbi. Mostly she only knew about him by name and reputation, and that reputation mostly consisted of Paula’s description of a dorky shut-in that she was embarrassed to be related to.

Heather could see what her mother was thinking and explained, “They’ve gotten closer lately. Ever since the incident at the party.”

“Yeah. A lot closer,” Andie said with a knowing little smirk.

This time Heather didn’t verbally protest her sister’s too ready mouth, but only shot her a warning glare. “Anyway,” she went on, seeing her mother looking curiously between Heather and Andie and wanting to stop her from asking too many questions, “since Paula’s dating Lance Jeffries now, she thought it would be a good idea to get me and Zander together. And she was right! It’s been great!”

“Aww!” Andie sighed happily, as if she didn’t already know all about it.

Kenneth suddenly seemed to remember how to swallow and began eating faster.

“Well,” Dana said thoughtfully, “you might just have to invite him over for dinner some night. I think I ought to get to know this boy a little better now.”

An uncomfortable knot formed in Heather’s stomach. That was a level of awkwardness that she didn’t think she needed. But she agreeably said, “Sure, Mom. I’ll ... talk to him about that.” And she stuffed her mouth full of pilaf to avoid talking further.

The subject didn’t come up again for the rest of the evening, at least until later that night. Heather was in her room, having finished her homework and starting to think about turning in, when the knock she should have expected came at the door to the bathroom connecting hers and Andie’s rooms. Without waiting for an answer, Andie appeared through through the door wearing only her tiny little nightshirt and slim pair of pink panties, though she had a suspicious little bag slung over her shoulder. She was grinning brightly as she scampered across the room to where Heather sat on her bed, and jumped onto it with her. Heather only resisted a little as Andie threw her arms around her sister and kissed her.

“Jeez, Andie,” Heather said, torn between the urge to push her sister away in annoyance and to pull her closer. “Do you have to tell Mom everything?”

“What? It’s not like you and Zander are a secret,” Andie protested.

“No, it’s not,” Heather admitted with a sigh. “but I wish you’d let me tell her instead.”

“Sorry, didn’t think it was a big deal,” Andie shrugged. And evidently she still didn’t, as she leaned in again to continue kissing her. Heather was still a little annoyed with her sister, but she had to admit that Andie’s lips felt nice and it was hard to stay mad at her with her sister’s petite little body in her arms.
