Chapter 11: Plans for Work and Play

When Arjun came back Deepika was showered and dressed, making lunch in the kitchen.

He asked her “Where is Shekhar?”

“In his room, probably.” She said carelessly even though she knew very well that he was still at the poolside.

Arjun looked upstairs then found him by the poolside.

“Ah, I wanted to see you.” Shekhar said “These files have mention of other detailed files. I need to see those.”

“Well, sure, I can bring them from the office.” Arjun offered.

“No, they will probably be linked to other files.” Shekhar said “Let’s go to the office so you don’t have to keep going back and forth.”

“Okay, I will call Shriya also.” Arjun said “She knows where everything is.”

“Your secretary? Yes, good idea.” Shekhar agreed.

But they couldn’t go right away as Deepika reminded them that lunch was almost ready.

Shekhar said “Ok, I will take a quick shower while you are making lunch. Then we will go to the office afterwards.”

At lunch, Deepika said “Shekhar, you promised me and Rhea that you will take us out tonight. But now you are going to the office. How boring! That’s what Arjun does all the time.”

“Well, I am not going forever, Deepika.” Shekhar said “We will be back in the evening. And there’s no point in going to a club before 11PM anywhere. You girls get ready, I will be back much before that. We will definitely go out tonight.”

“Promise?” Deepika said.

Shekhar nodded “Promise.”

“Ok.” She smiled.
