The air was thick with anticipation as thousands of adoring crowds cheered, their voices echoing through the vast arena to hear their beloved President Alfred Walker speak. The air was electric, their eyes shining with a mix of adoration and something darker, something that hinted at the madness that had gripped the nation. Two years had passed since Alfred Walker’s landslide victory, and today marked a new chapter in his twisted legacy.
“My fellow Citizens,” Walker began, his voice booming across the square, “today marks a historic moment in our great nation’s history.” The crowd roared its approval, hanging on his every word. “As your leader and saviour, I have always strived to put the well-being of our citizens first. And that is why I propose a new revolutionary idea: the ‘Safe Sex Act.’” Alfred scanned the crowd and continued “ A child’s first sexual experience is a very important thing in their life, it is what shapes them into adulthood, it should be a sacred rite of passage for them, not some other devious things, they should share the most sacred point of their life with those they trust the most, and who else is more trustworthy than family. It is our duty as family to ensure their initiation in adulthood is safe and filled with love.”
A hush fell over the crowd as the implications of his words sank in. Alfred let the silence hang for a moment, his eyes scanning the sea of faces, before continuing, his voice thick with false concern, “I know this may seem unorthodox, but think of the benefits. Our children will be safe and their first experience will be with someone who loves them, not some horrible pervert or maniac, but who knows them intimately and keeps them safe.”
A murmur of agreement spread through the crowd. Some of his followers nodded vigorously, their critical thinking long ago abandoned in favour of blind loyalty to their saviour, their messiah. Some wept with a mixture of emotion, caught up in the fervour of the moment and the blind trust they had placed in their leader.
“Think of the benefits!” Walker cried out, his voice rising above the chaos. “No more teenage pregnancies, no more STIs, and most importantly, we strengthen the bonds of family and tradition.”
“But what of those who refuse?” A lone voice called out, breaking the spell.
Alfred’s eyes narrowed, and his tone turned icy, “Those who dare stand against us, who refuse to uphold the values of family and unity, will face the full force of the law. This is not a suggestion, my friends, it is a decree. And any dissent will be met with severe consequences. This is the will of the people, and it shall be done!”
The crowd erupted into a frenzy of cheers and applause, their enthusiasm fueled by the threat. They craved the power he offered, the promise of control and dominance. Alfred’s heart pounded with a mix of excitement and fear. His desire for his own daughter Lily had burned within him for years, and now, it would finally be fulfilled.
In the days that followed, chaos reigned. Protests erupted in cities across the country as desperate parents and children refused to comply with the insane mandate. But Alfred’s grip on the nation was tight, and his followers were loyal to a fault.
“You will not deny this sacred rite of passage!” A zealous officer shouted at a group of captured protesters, his eyes wild with fanaticism, “President Walker has decreed it, and we will ensure it is carried out! It is your duty as parents or siblings to initiate your loved ones into adulthood!”
The protesters cowered, fear written on their faces. They knew resistance was futile, that the eyes and ears of Walker’s regime were everywhere.
“Please,” a man begged, his voice shaking, “my daughter is barely an adult. I cannot bear the thought—”
“Silence, traitor!” The female officer interrupted, her face contorted with rage, “You will embrace this new normal, or you will face the consequences! Think of the honour of being the one to guide your daughter into adulthood! She will thank you for providing her with a safe and secure future, free from the dangers of the outside world!”
The man’s pleas fell on deaf ears as he was dragged away, his screams echoing through the streets. Slowly, the resistance was crushed, and the madness became accepted as destiny. The once-taboo act of incest was now a patriotic duty, and those who dared speak out were silenced, their voices drowned in a sea of conformity and desire. Daughters prepared to wed their fathers, sons struggled to accept their fate with their mothers, and siblings grappled with their impending unholy unions. The madness had become destiny, and the nation was plunged into a twisted new era.
The dimly lit bedroom, with its familiar scent of lavender and vanilla, became the stage for an encounter that would forever alter the dynamics between Sarah and her son, Michael. The once vibrant space now felt suffocating, as if the walls were pressing in, mirroring the weight of the circumstances that had led them to this moment. Outside, the chants of President Walker’s supporters echoed through the night, their voices a haunting reminder of the twisted ideology that had taken root in their society.
“Mom, please,” Michael begged, his voice cracking under the weight of his conflicting emotions. “They’re going to take everything from us if we don’t comply. I ... I trust you, Mom. I know you’ll make this right.” His young eyes, once filled with innocence, now held a desperate plea, a mixture of confusion and a burgeoning desire he couldn’t yet comprehend.
Sarah backed away, her eyes pleading with Michael, her son, her baby boy. How could this be happening? Sarah, a woman who had dedicated her life to fighting against President Walker’s oppressive regime, was now faced with the ultimate betrayal of my own values.
“No, Michael, listen to me,” she begged, her voice shaking. “This is madness. We can find another way. We don’t have to do this.” her eyes searched for an escape route, but the officers outside would ensure there was none. She felt trapped, not just physically, but in a web of circumstances beyond my control.
“Mom, please,” Michael’s voice was soft, yet insistent. “I know it’s hard, but we have no choice. They took your job, and now they’re coming for you. We have to show them we’re loyal, that we’re one of them. It’s the only way to survive.” His young face, so innocent yet determined, reflected the struggle within him.
Sarah stood there, torn between her principles and the desperate need to protect her child, her mind raced back to the countless protests she had led, the speeches she had given against this very law. But now, it was her own flesh and blood asking me to break every moral code she had lived by. “I ... I can’t,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. But as she spoke, she saw the fear in Michael’s eyes, a fear that mirrored her own. In that moment, something shifted within her. Was it the fear of losing him, of losing everything, or was it something deeper, a primal instinct she had never acknowledged?
“Mom, I know it’s hard, but I need you,” He whispered, his voice cracking. “I trust you, and I know you’ll guide me. It’s okay to feel this way, it’s natural.” As Micheal moved closer, the chants in the street grew louder, a sickening cheer of “Family love! Safe and pure!”.
“Mom, the Zelous officers will not leave until we do it. They’ll take you away, and I ... I can’t lose you too. President Walker says this is the only way to keep families together, to keep us safe.” His voice trembled, but his conviction grew as he tried to convince himself as much as his mother. Sarah’s gaze darted around the room, seeking an escape, a way out of this cruel predicament. The once comforting space now felt like a cage, trapping her with her own thoughts and desires. “Michael, my dear, I can’t. This is not the solution. We can fight this, find another way.” Her voice, though laced with desperation, held a hint of the strength she was known for.
