Chapter 6

Jack paused the video again and took his phone and swiped back to the main menu. He saw the tiny lock icon and clicked on it. He entered a password that was a combination of several words he liked and replaced several of the letters with numbers and symbols. It was 37 characters long, but Jack wasn’t worried about remembering it due to his new Eidetic memory.

Feeling a bit more secure, Jack also loaded and added passwords to his mother, his father, and his grandfather. Each password was shorter than his own, but they still included a combination of letters and symbols. For instance, his mother was extremely fond of frogs, so he gave her the password T4dp0L3. He’d remember it, but it was also much easier to enter than the 37-character password he gave himself.

Jack didn’t change anything with his mother at first, but then before he loaded his father up, he did click on her avatar and click the ‘Physical’ button. He didn’t want to change anything exactly and ignored most of the settings until he found the ‘Health Status’ section.

Jack spent a minute looking at everything available and found she was in pretty good health for her age. However, he did find that she wasn’t exercising or eating quite as good as she should and he increased her sliders to increase her exercise habits and to be more health-conscious when it came to food choices. He saw the apply button and the little gear and decided to make it so these changes were gradual over the next several weeks. He also saw the option about how no one would notice these changes, but saw there was a way to select specific people who wouldn’t notice.
