Introduction

I’ve always found the idea of evil to be incredibly erotic. I suppose it’s because, like most of us, I try to be a good person in real life, so my fantasy life is where I go when I want to give my baser impulses free reign. Sometimes I dream of being evil myself, and sometimes I dream of being victimized by the evil of others. Along with this comes a fascination with corruption, the spreading of evil from one person to another, turning to the dark side and all that.

I can think of no better example of pure evil in human history than Nazi Germany of the 1930s and 40s. Writing a historical story in that time period isn’t something I really find interesting (though I’ve read some excellent erotic fiction set in that era), and in any event I don’t think I have the skillset for it. But I do love writing high fantasy.

And so this rather long story lives at the intersection of my fascination with evil as embodied by the Nazis and my love for high fantasy epics. It takes place in a typical medieval fantasy world with magic, elves, orcs, and so on, but there’s a lot of fascist imagery and tropes in it that are lifted directly from the real world: swastikas, the SS, veneration of Aryans as the “master race”, and so on. I’ve included these things not because I endorse any of them (I most certainly don’t) but for the same reason as everything else I’ve included in this story: because I find them hot and arousing.
