The ladies lay completely spent, chests rising and falling in shallow, satisfied breaths, their bodies still trembling with the aftershocks of pleasure. Igi looked at them with a soft, almost gentle smile and decided he wouldn’t push them any further tonight.
With a quiet murmur he wove the sleep spell. Their eyelids fluttered once, twice, and then they were gone—deep, peaceful sleep claiming all three right there on the ruined sheets.
He released his changeling companions. The two golems melted back into his body like liquid; one reformed as his simple robe, the other as the familiar staff in his hand. Igi gave the sleeping women one last lingering look, then slipped quietly out of the room.
When the first pale light crept through the windows, soft footsteps came from the stairs. Dara, Sylara, and Lyss descended together—freshly washed, hair brushed and shining, dressed in simple but pretty day gowns. They looked radiant.
“How did you sleep?” Igi asked, standing to greet them with a warm smile.
“Like logs,” Dara laughed softly. “Knocked out the second our heads touched the pillow. It was ... incredible.”
Igi’s expression grew a little more serious, though his eyes still sparkled.
“Ladies ... I’ve been thinking about how to say goodbye to you. That’s why I waited down here. I have a proposal.”
He paused, letting the words settle.
