About Don Lockwood:
As most of you probably know, I'm a writer first. But I also enjoy reading, so I asked Lazeez if I could try my hand at reviewing. I've done similar before, but not for a number of years (I was the record review columnist for my high school newspaper, but HS was a loooong time ago!) So, I'm going to give it a shot and see how it goes.
Anyone who's read my stories knows my style, so it's no surprise that what I read tends to be in the same style--romances first of all, coming-of-age second, with good character development. I won't review anything that falls into my squick areas, because that's not fair to the writer. And I plan to try to highlight authors that don't get much attention, folks you don't see all over the top-twenty lists but that deserve notice. You don't need me to point your attention to something like, oh, "Summer Camp", right? :-) No, I'm going to try to point you towards less-remarked-upon stories.
I also have a firm stand that I will *never* review in-progress stories. My reviews will come at the end only. Too many long stories "jump the shark" after a certain point ("Dance of a Lifetime, for example :-)) so I won't be reviewing parts of stories. I'll wait until they're complete.
Since I'm mostly going to be spotlighting my favorites that don't get noticed, don't expect too much negativity.
As always, thanks for reading
