In short, it's a story about a quest. Every character- the antagonist, the protagonist- everyone is in search of something. A race to the finish where the winner gets all. But then again, that's not all there is to it. It also partly reflects the human desire to wield the ultimate power. A sheer desperation to be able to control the uncontrollable, to be able to conquer the unconquerable without the slightest idea of its consequences.
