This story is based on an old English folk song. It takes place during the Napoleonic wars, and although the characters are fictitious, the dates, places, and flavor of the story ate accurate. It is the story of how a misfit youth who tried to fit into the harsh world around him.

Lia and Liz are twin girls growing through their teenage years. They discove their parents are swingers. Intrigued, they find a way to join in. Life goes on as they choose different paths in life, all the while learning about life, sex, and the world.

On his 14th birthday and his first day back at school after the holidays Louis Cooper learns to his total surprise that he's gay. When the sixth form captain takes him to be punished for breaking a school rule Francis Stowe shows Louis just how gay boys like to play.

Story begins with Jeff telling his story to a writer named Joe. He meets Darcy also.

I've been getting to know to a young woman named Bridget. Things haven't been so good at home and I need an outlet. This sweet, petite girl who has dirty blonde hair and big boobs may be just perfect. We've been talking and going out here and there. Not only do I want to be a supportive friend, but I also may want more. (You want a lover, you want a friend...Baby I can be both of them.) By the way, I'm writing this pretty much as it happens, so I guess this is as much a journal as it is a story.

Things go amiss, and doubts are raised about. well, quite a lot Frankly, this is a bit of a boys own adventure story, in a way. And not the sort of penetration you might expect, either. But it was fun to write
