Reviewed:
This story is a sequel to Looking Through the Lens (2009 rewrite). In that story, we found out what type of a person Matt is as he struggles through his first romance and finally gets together with his second girlfriend, and perhaps his major romance, Heather. This time a long distance relationship starts to work out. He also meets several other women who have a big impact on his life and he gets closer and closer to his sister, Lara.
I love how the author really gets you into the lives of his characters. He also really gets into the love between them. Things are not always rosy between them and sometimes their relationships get very dark, but always we return to the great love between them. While there is a great love between Matt & Heather, there is also much love between Matt & Lara, although that love never gets overtly sexual. But there is a surprise there too.
I also like the teasing between Matt, Lara & Heather. Heather also like puzzles and at least one puzzle takes several chapters to solve.
The story is very well edited. I noticed a few errors, but for the length of this story, it is well below 1 percent. The Some Sex is true, but when it happens, it is very good and loving.
The story is not complete and more is promised. I checked on that before I wrote this review and he did say it is coming along, but could not promise when. I hope it is not as long as it took for this story (5 years), but it will be worth the wait when it happens.
This is a great growing up romance story. If you have not read it, it is well worth your time.
