Let me go into this review saying that I really like StangStar06’s stories. I have probably read most of them two or three times, but this is one of a very few I’m keeping in my permanent collection. A large number of his stories are about cheaters who get a richly deserved comeuppance, while the one who is cheated on wins in the end. This satisfies me for some unknown reason, and I do enjoy the romance that follows the cheater’s downfall.
Dalton is clueless about his long time girlfriend Heather’s cheating ways until her younger sister Amy lets the cat out of the bag. Heather’s MO is to break up with him, go out and screw around, and then make up so she can have her relationship cake and eat it too. She has repeated this for a number of years without him tumbling to the process. She is also a very high maintenance young woman, and that tends to grate on him a bit as well.
After his eyes are opened to Heather’s shameless cheating, Dalton and Amy carry out some pretty decent revenge. Of course, Heather really hangs herself with her own rope. They did not set her up; they just waited and watched.
Give the short story a read, I’m sure you will enjoy it and walk away quite satisfied, even though things like this probably never happen in real life.
I’m giving the author pretty high marks for plot and appeal, but technically he really needs to cut back on the commas. A few other small errors like typos are there, but do not detract from the story.
