This has turned out to be a terrific read.

SummitMan has written a story that, after the backstory of the first chapter, builds an immense appeal. The Main Character is a teacher who has taught others how to use swords, and was very successful herself before she married and had kids, taking a step back from her own desired to support her family.

She brings a great knowledge of warfare and politics to a world that is going to be invaded by armies from its surrounding neighbors, and has been summoned to a new world to be their Champion, but the summoners are shocked to discover that she is a woman, not an experienced male warrior.

The technology of this new world is very basic, particularly with regard to weaponry and tactics, and the MC is required to fight a very experienced swordsman to the death to prove her ability before she can claim the title of Champion. This was set through manipulation by one of the summoners who hopes to achieve power and fame when she fails.

The manner in which she might overcome this challenge is brilliantly and imaginatively framed by the author. And the MC herself is a very appealing character as she develops both physical and mental strength and attracts a group of trustworthy supporters.

Most of the chapters are pretty long and I enjoyed reading every one of them.

Please note that this is apparently intended to be Book 1, and I hope the author follows through with continuing the story. It has been a real pleasure to read. Unlike some stories here, the technical aspect itself is nearly flawless, with few if any typos or poorly written paragraphs.

I hope others find it as appealing as I have. It's definitely worth your time.
