In "Lauren, a Wellspring", we have the story of a teen-aged witch that has discovered an extremely powerful wellspring, or a woman that can infuse a witch with a great deal of power through sex acts. However, this wellspring is not attached to a witch, and thus vulnerable. Read along to see how the witch tries to protect the wellspring.
The sex itself was nicely done, with a good deal of sensuality between the female lovers. It isn't pulse pounding to read, but it does capture two women making love to each other extremely well.
The plot itself is very good. The author doesn't explain everything right away, so you have to feel you way through the first bit of the story to get a handle on things. Part of me would have liked to have more knowledge up front, but it did help add an element of mystery to how the story unfolded. I think I'll keep the mystery this time.
Technically, I didn't notice any errors in the story, and there were no distractions. This is a very tightly written story.
I was asked to review this story by the author, and I'm glad I took the time to read it. I'm quite impressed with this piece, and I'll be soon reading most of the rest of the author's completed works.

Tightly plotted and 'magical' in itself, this story follows a temperamental and stubborn young witch as she defends her friends and contends with a warlock determined to do evil. The sex scenes are frequent and exciting. There is a chase sequence with spells and time shifts that I found very effective.
The plot moved along very quickly and I enjoyed the protagonist's development as she contended with the contempt of her schoolmates and the moderation pleas of her seniors in wiccan circles.
Well worth a reading.
