'An Unlikely Protector' was an unlikely story for me to read; yet I did and I really enjoyed it.
I spotted in the random stories queue and thought that it was going to be your typical brother saves sisters story with sex to follow. I hadn't looked at the codes so you can imagine my surprise when I found out it wasn't what I thought it was. Still I read it and I found myself enjoying the tale and relating to the characters.
The story is well written with only a few obvious typos. It is straight forward and it flows very well. The principal characters are realistic and recognizable and the plot is believable. There were a couple of points in the story where I felt the author had rushed the timeline but beyond that his story was a very neat package.
It appealed to me because it dealt with people and people's responses and attitudes and it showed that people's perceptions of other people are usually wrong.
I enjoyed this story and I recommend it to others.

I admit it, I'm a sucker for a slightly sexy love story. This one is about a nerdy type who defends his sisters, you know the type, and becomes the school hero; underdog versus the football team. The score Dog 1, Team 0.
And then comes the girl of his dreams, and he's firmly hooked.
Enjoy!

I have to say, I am a total sucker for this type of story, and Daghda Jim pushed almost all my buttons. Its a great read, real characters, and inspirational in a sappy way! But all in a good way!
As usual, my only complaint is, it was too short! But honestly thats just me, it was complete and well told, technically sound and well thought out.
Add this to your list, it was a perfect story for me to read while recovering from over eating on the day after Thanksgiving!
