It was a dark and stormy night, the opening line in D G Hear's story 'I Need To Know.' D G Hear, one of the best and most prolific writers on SOL, submitted this story in 2006, his ability to immerse the reader into the story has only improved with age.
In the story, Jerry's wife Lydia and his three-year-old son Mikey had been in a major car accident, along with an unidentified man. Only doubts and questions emerge as we are plunged head first into the plot.
Questions of why she was there, with a strange man? Why was his young son with her while she worked, and who was the stranger with them?
These are just a few of the questions DG Hear has created an involving story with many unanswered questions until the final page.
I recommend reading this story of cheating, death, and despair. There are so many questions and so few answers.
