I'll admit, when I found this in my queue I wondered how it had gotten there. Normally a title like that would put me off; most of the stories on SOL that have crude titles seem to have low scores (and deservedly so, IMHO).
But in any case, somewhere along the line I added it to the queue, and so I decided to read it. "My Second Piece of Ass" is about a young man and a prostitute that meet and have sex (on a transaction basis) and then fall in love with each other. The author makes this an interesting story, with a plot twist here and there.
There are no obvious plot holes, though there are a few loose ends that never get tied off. The author does reveal some events as though they've already occurred, and then afterward tells how we got there. It's a bit disconcerting at times, but I found I got used to it.
Technically, this story has quite a few issues. There are a bunch of typos, things that will pass spell check but are clearly wrong (such as "wreaking" instead of "wrecking" and "father" instead of "farther"). The author seems to have issues with compound words (using "bed room" instead of "bedroom," and at one point "in tact" instead of "intact"). One of my pet peeves is when the author can't keep his/her character names straight; for example, one character is sometimes "Davey" and at other times "Davie;" another is either "Tonya" or "Tanya;" and another is either "Petterson" or "Peterson."
Despite the flaws, I found the story unexpectedly compelling, and had a hard time putting it down. I won't claim it to be an ATF, but the underlying story is good enough that I must (perhaps begrudgingly) recommend it.
